It's kind of interesting to have a Memphis fan on the board, a fanbase you don't get perspective from very often.

Voodoo you look on the schedule for the next time we come to town. Remind me and I'll have 4 tickets at will call in your brother's name!

Has anyone else noticed that Corey Brewer has quietly found his niche in Denver? 14 pts, 6 rbs in 24 min against the Lakers tonight, and when the Nugz played them just a few games back he went off for 27 points. His defense has never been an issue, but it looks like his offensive game seems to be coming along as well, and he's still only 26 years old. He's really treading that "underrated" territory.

That's very considerate HCP,... I appreciate that and I'll let my brother know. I actually don't think he's been able to take his kid to a Grizzlies game yet. NBA ticket prices are just getting ridiculous. I really don't think our attendance numbers show how much the city really supports the team for that reason.

Eric Gordon just had a sick from-behind block of a Danny Green cherry-pick

Washington beat OKC. They've beaten both NBA Finalists from last season.

It wasn't just OKC tonight. Three of the top five fell - OKC, San Antonio, and New York.

The OKC loss is embarrassing, but that's the sort of loss that's an anomaly. The Hornets loss is embarrassing on the surface, but that's a completely different team with Gordon back, and more importantly, with Rivers riding the pine. If Gordon came back earlier in the season, they'd be a playoff bubble team.

The loss that really sticks out to me though for being of any sort of importance is the New York loss to Boston. This has been a horrible year for Boston, and they've sort of picked it up lately, but a team that's apparently as good as the Knicks are supposed to be should have pulled this one out. They're now 2-2 with Stoudemire back and are 5-6 in their last 11. I'm sure most of the blame will be put on Stoudemire, but this team was destined to disappoint after padding a their record with a fairly easy schedule.

I noticed that the Golden State Warriors are frequently mentioned on this forum as a fringe playoff team out West, despite having a .667 winning percentage compared the Knicks' .676 with a much softer schedule. One team's a "fringe" team out West, and the other team's the #2 team out East.

GSW has separated themselves from the rest of the fringe pack by record. They've got a tough stretch coming up that should gauge whether they hang with the top 5 out west or with that "next 5" group competing for bottom playoff seeds.

But you're right. They ran a train on the East and its pretty pathetic when they play NJ, Atlanta, Boston, and you really see the disparity between the conferences. Utah/Minny/LAL would probably be 4-5 seeds in the east and they're not even in the top 8 in the west.

The Rudy Gay to Phoenix trade discussion seems to make sense for both teams. (Dudley, cap space and draft picks) That will be interesting to watch in the next few weeks.

What else do they want?
If they really want to dump Gay, and can get Dudley and a pick, along with all of the $$ saving, looking to add a 3rd team is going to make it fall apart and they'll get nothing.

Ill try and find the article when I get home but it was talking about the fact that memphis looked at trading him as not jist a way to shed salary but as a way to improve the team as well. So im guessing there asking price is more then just a serviceable replacement and a pick with some protection on it.

Rockets/Lakers game is fun. Either outcome helps the Blazers but of course I want the Lakers to lose. Another moral victory for them.

That girl on the nba store ad on nbatv was so familiar. Then I remembered who she was:

1996 Draft assist leaders: 1. Nash 10,005; 2. Marbury 6,471; 3. AI 5,624 4. @kobebryant 5,582

Man,... Starbury and AI were such better players of the courser of their career than Nash, but somehow Nash has two MVP's. Really, his first MVP was a knee-jerk reaction to the media failing on Kidd's MVP in 2002, and his second MVP, well, that's just unexplainable.

The NBA has suspended New York's Carmelo Anthony one game for confrontation with Kevin Garnett.

"There are no circumstance in which it is acceptable for a player to confront an opponent after a game," NBA's Stu Jackson said in statement
