Calipari's the biggest snake oil salesman in college ball. His coaching brethren all can't stand him. There's been so many times where he's stole recruits that were pretty much signed and sealed to other schools.

Speaking of Calipari. He's got about 5 or 6 future 1st rounders on this years team including about 3 players that will be in the lotto this year and he's not even got them in the top 25. Helluva coaching job.

They just took a loss to Alabama too... 12-6 now, with their best win coming against Maryland.

@JLundbladESPN: Kyrie Irving with 40 pts, 5 ast vs #Celtics - Last 3 to do that vs Boston were LeBron, Wade, Kobe

Although nothing is "official," there are multiple reports out there that the Grizzlies will sign Delonte West, Sasha Vujacic, and Bill Walker.

They're also reportedly signing D-Leaguer Chris Johnson, a rookie out of Dayton. I'm a huge college fan, and I'm not sure I even knew who that was. Someone told me today that the Grizz signed Chris Johnson, and I spent an awkward few minutes telling them the Chris Johnson playing for Minnesota, and then upon being corrected, telling them about Dayton's Chris Wright.

Hopefully these signings go through. It makes the Cleveland trade look better if you phrase it, "Ellington, Speights, and Selby plus a pick for West, Vujacic, and Walker plus cap relief."

Why aren't we signing West, Sasha, and Walker???? Ugh.

If we cut anyone there on our cap for this year as well as the person we sign (if the cut players clear waivers), were already over the lux tax so i'm assuming its all about saving money.

OH GAWD THIS IS SO HAWT

The Lakers needed to talk. So they did. Loudly.

They held a clear-the-air team meeting before Wednesday morning's shoot-around, with Kobe Bryant very directly asking Dwight Howard if he disliked playing with the long-time Lakers star.

"Guys went at each other a little bit," said a person who witnessed the meeting.

Coach Mike D'Antoni started it by saying he was tired of reading newspaper stories about players questioning his offense or wanting more touches. Bryant and Howard each fell under that category after the Lakers' lifeless 95-83 loss Monday in Chicago: Bryant said the offense needed to slow down while Howard expressed displeasure after taking only five shots.

D'Antoni then told the team to stop worrying about offense and start playing better defense. The Lakers are fifth in scoring (102.6 points a game) but 26th in defense (101.4 points a game).

He then asked players to speak up. Steve Nash went first.

Nash, in his first season with the Lakers, said he didn't care how they played, whether it was via pick-and-roll or fastbreak or whatever. He just wanted everybody to be comfortable in the system. It was seen as a sacrifice by Nash, who played four seasons under D'Antoni's run-and-gun offense in Phoenix and won two NBA MVP awards while doing it.

Bryant also spoke up, acknowledging he could be "hard to play with" and asking Howard if that bothered him.

Howard's answer was unclear, though he did not engage Bryant in nearly as vocal a manner as Bryant engaged him.

I don't want the Lakers to have a better pick than us! Last time Kupchack had a high pick he got Bynum

Tony Wroten getting some burn and doing good things against the Lakers. Can see why the got rid of Selby and Ellington.

WTF happened to Andres Biedrins? The guy was a monster rebounder at such a young age and was borderline AS that one year. Overdoes on hair gel?

Confidence is shot after Baron and Stephen Jackson left, Nellie went to town with the mind games on him. Rumors that hes an alcoholic as well.

Still rebound at an absurd rate, but where he used to be automatic catching and finishing around the rim, now he plays hot potato with the ball because hes afraid of the FT line. Hes been alright this year in limited minutes rebounding and blocking shots, but hes still a far cry from the ball of energy he once was.

As of tonight...... the Lakers pick is #11 and PHX owns it....... and on the other end, the Thunder own Toronto's #7 pick, ouch!

LeBron James finishes with his 34th triple-double; since he joined the league in 2003-04, only Jason Kidd has more (57).

With 11 field goals made tonight, LaMarcus Aldridge has passed Sidney Wicks for 9th place on Portland's all-time field goals list (3,503).

He's got a good future ahead of him for sure. He's athletic, explosive, and gives 110% out there, but I still don't think he's ready for consistent backup minutes if the Grizz want to be a contender, because his shot is still ugly and his decision making is still shaky. Hopefully the Grizz sign Delonte West like people have been reporting.

Honestly, the real revelation from the "reserve-less" Grizz was the play of Darrell Arthur. He's really flown under the radar. He was a steal to begin with in the late first round of the '08 draft but has also been held back by injuries since. Just after he had a breakout season in late 2011, he went out for the next season and a half. He's just now healthy again and is coming into his own at the age of 25... could be a breakout half of the season for him without Speights.

J.J. Hickson has his 24th double-double of the season; only Zach Randolph (27) and David Lee (25 entering day) have more.

Lillard now has 10 games with 20-plus points and seven-plus assists. Only James, Westbrook, Curry, Holiday, Harden and Parker have more.

Random: the Warriors, only team to beat Clippers (3x), Heat & Thunder also only team to lose to Lakers twice this season.

We drafted Arthur. Who did we trade him for? Batum?

That's what Wikipedia says. I just remembered us having Arthur for a few minutes and thinking we got a steal.
