That is a heck of a stat!

Even though I dont really like LBJ I respect the hell out of his game, his OVERALL game, offense and defense. And that is why unless OKC had a drastically better record there is no way that Durant deserves the MVP over LBJ

Hope for the Lakers: 16 teams in last 25 years have made the playoffs after winning 17 or fewer games in first 42.

Panic-inducing stat of the day for Lakerland: Elias says 107 teams in West started 17-24 or worse in last 25 seasons. Only 4 made playoffs

If they make they will have earned it thats for sure. But to think that they could play .700+ ball the rest of the way with 21 road games including a 7 game road trip is more than I can see happening

BTW that is assuming that they call get and stay healthy to even make a run like that. I wonder of the teams that have done it what the average age was???

No shame if @Dame_Lillard does NOT make West All-Star team 90 minutes from now. You'll recall @KingJames didn't make it in 2003-04

He's got a good future ahead of him for sure. He's athletic, explosive, and gives 110% out there, but I still don't think he's ready for consistent backup minutes if the Grizz want to be a contender, because his shot is still ugly and his decision making is still shaky. Hopefully the Grizz sign Delonte West like people have been reporting.

Honestly, the real revelation from the "reserve-less" Grizz was the play of Darrell Arthur. He's really flown under the radar. He was a steal to begin with in the late first round of the '08 draft but has also been held back by injuries since. Just after he had a breakout season in late 2011, he went out for the next season and a half. He's just now healthy again and is coming into his own at the age of 25... could be a breakout half of the season for him without Speights.

I'll happily trade you Ronnie Price's decision-making ability for Wroten.

And Arthur dropped b/c of a kidney "problem" (much like Nic's "heart problem") that was cleared up but (iirc) only the Wizards heard about it. So he dropped. And also, iirc, we'd already traded the picks in order to select Batum (and scoop SAS) so when Portland "picked" Arthur and Joey Dorsey they were picking for HOU. We never wanted Arthur.

And if we had chosen him, his being kicked out of the Rookie Camp for smoking up would've ensured he never saw the light of day in Portland.

David Lee is the first @Warrior since Latrell Sprewell in 1997 to make All-Star Game. Know Warriors happy to get that streak over.

. @TDGarden security staffer tells me that they are NOT allowing individuals to enter arena with Honey Nut Cheerios boxes. #Celtics #Knicks

The Mavericks' 13-season streak with an All-Star representative ends today. Was 3rd longest active in NBA behind LAL & SA.

Since ‘92, only 3 (LBJ, CP3, Payton) have avg. 21+pts, 8+asts, 5+rebs for a season. @russwest44 on pace (22.7p, 8.1a, 5.3r)

LeBron James has 197 career games with 9 or more assists. Kevin Durant has 3.

Well, KP did say that one of the guys would win scoring titles, not assist titles.

the two recent teams (Philadelphia and Indiana)? Philadelphia won 41, Indiana won 37.

It's unlikely that the 41 wins makes the playoffs in the West.

Oh yeah it fits here too. Fuck you lee and gasol. The nba coaches think Aldridge is better than you
