He had a 14 PER his rookie year. That wasn't really balling out of control. His best year was last year when he had a PER of 18.

He scored 55 points in his 7th or 8th game and he took the Bucks to the playoffs. Even if the overall PER isn't that great, he was considered for ROY.

Willie Burton scored 53 points once. Jennings take his team to the playoffs that year, he was on a playoff team. I actually like Jennings, too. Just think people overrate him a little.

Batum for Granger and a #1? We're low on knee injuries.

His knee injury scares the hell out of me. Stephania Bell, often brought on espn to discuss injuries in football, was on a podcast (can't remember what one but I think it was a Bill Simmons one) talking about how the injury that Granger sustained is one that the player never fully recovers from.

55>53 and Burton didn't do it as a rookie.

What was Grangers injury exactly?

@NBARUMORS: After the Lakers’ loss to the Bucks on Thursday, Kobe Bryant left the arena on a crutch as he couldn’t place pressure on his left foot.

Funny how when Harden doesn't play Jeremy Lin always has a Linsanity type game.

And I think my dream of Omer Asik being available just died.

Carmelo has scored 40 of the Knicks 70 points so far. He has 1 rebound and no assists. He is shooting 14 of 18.

Carmelo ties his career high with 50 points. Scores (pretty much) half of his teams total.

Wonder how D'Antoni feels right now. Bet he heard that chant in the locker room

This is really starting to bug me -

http://espn.go.com/nba/standings

Look at the records of the #3-5 spots in the West. It's been like that for a few days, and at first, that really didn't bug me that much, because I just figured it was an error on ESPN's part, but TNT just showed the same standings. What the hell's up with that?

Is LAC guaranteed a top four seed by virtue of being #1 in the Pacific Division or something? If so, that's ridiculous and needs to be changed. Divisions have never made any sense and shouldn't mean anything. It's not like teams play their division opponents more often. The Grizz are 1.5 games ahead of the Clippers right now. I'd be pretty pissed off if the Clipps wound up a higher seed just because they were in a weaker division.

So if the season ended today, the team tied for the 4th best record in the entire 30 team NBA would not get homecourt advantage in a 16 team playoff? That's messed up...

Homecourt goes to team with better record. Divisions only determine seeding.

@nbastats: Since Feb.1, @WashWizards have 4th-best record (17-13, .567) in East...better record over that span than 8 of the 16 current playoff teams

@ESPNStatsInfo: Knicks have won 9 straight games. The last time they won at least 10 straight was 1993-94 season.
