Ben McLemore just announced he'll declare for the 2013 NBA Draft. No surprise here. He's a likely Top 5 pick.

Go Jazz. C'mon Thunder- tank this game to kick the Lakers out of the playoffs.

I don't think OKC got the memo. Need NO to pull a game out of there asses to beat LAL tonight.

Just saw the video and holy cow JO doesn't even jump until after the horn has gone off. Weird situation but dumbass move by JO.

Wow Davis needs to bulk up if he wants to play center. He looks so small trying to guard Pau Gasol tonight. It is quite comical

Not a big fan of their list. Seems more like a popularity list then a top 30 players list.

Couple of things I've already noticed.......

Orlando is gonna suck bigtime!

The Clippers are by far the deepest team in the league. They have a great bench! Odom, Crawford, Bledsoe, Barnes, Hill and Touriaf

Dallas looks like they might surprise some teams out there. Still pretty deep even with the loss of Kidd and Terry.

I don't think Anthony Davis is going to dominate like they say.

Lakers even though they lost last night and have a thin bench, are going to win 70 games and the NBA title.

Can't be right on everything! Didn't see the huge amounts of injuries that would hit the Lakers

Seems spot on for the most part.

I pretty much agree with the sentiments on the top 30. It's a useless list, largely based on popularity, but it is a pretty decent list, and it's a good subject for conversation. I think Irving's too high, being ranked over Rondo and Rose. I also think Brook Lopez is too high, as well as Tyson Chandler (probably the New York factor going on here). I also think that they let injuries play too much into it. Yeah, Bynum's a headcase and hasn't played in a while, but he's definitely a top 30 player, and Kevin Love should be higher than #27.

On another note, everyone's looking at the #8 seed race right now, but there's an equally interesting race for the #3 seed out West going on. The Nuggets are 53-24, the Grizz are 53-25, but the Nuggets play their next game against a San Antonio team that's trying to hold onto #1. If there's a tie, the Nuggets would get the #3, having a 3-1 advantage over the Grizz during the regular season.

With that said, here are the two teams remaining schedules -

Nuggets:

San Antonio
@ Dallas
Portland
@ Milwaukee
Phoenix

Memphis:

@ Houston
Clippers
@ Dallas
Utah

Looking at those schedules, and knowing the Grizz have to finish out 4-0 and the Nuggets have to go 3-2 for the Grizz to finish #3, I'm just getting ready as a Grizz fan to play the Clippers in the first round. There's still a chance though that the Nuggets take two consecutive losses here, with both San Antonio and Dallas laying their lives on the line. Then again, every game the Grizz play is against a playoff/seeding bubble team. Should be interesting to follow...

BTW - For KingSpeed's benefit, here's a quote from an earlier 5-on-5 on ESPN, before they revealed the top 15 -

5. Which top-15 player's #NBArank are you most curious to find out?

Winter: Marc Gasol. How Harden ranks with respect to Dwyane Wade and Bryant will fascinate, but at least that study offers a real gray area. There's no doubt Gasol should rank better than Dwight Howard; the question now is whether or not he will, and how he compares to Tim Duncan thereafter.

I guess he's not a sexy enough player with relatively low ppg and rpg for a superstar, and you gave him shit for not being named an All-Star, but the way it's looking, Big Spain is set to be a member of one of the All-NBA teams, as well as an All-Defensive team member. These rankings alone have him 15 spots higher than his fellow teammate that actually was named an All-Star. Time to give him some respect...?

Current Playoff Picture

Some intriguing matchups there:
Fun:
Nuggets vs. Warriors
Knicks vs. Boston
Clippers vs. Grizzlies
Spurs vs. Lakers (I wonder if the Spurs would actually prefer this matchup to Utah)
OKC vs. Houston (Harden's Revenge or Martin's Revenge?)

The one nobody will care about:
Atlanta vs. Indiana

Give Eric some time to respond. He's learning the game before he posts.

That's because there weren't "huge amounts". Injuries aren't the Lakers' problem - Chicago has done much better with worse injuries and far less star power.

As a Warriors fan I'm really hoping we stick at 6 and play the Nuggets. They're great at home and do well against us, but the Grizz just flat out own us.

No. The coaches who pick the All Stars know better than ESPN. Only way he possibly makes it is if they count out Tyson Chandler out cuz he's hurt.

Drummond with 29 and 10 tonight on only 11 shots. I was scared of him on draft night as well, but he is really looking good.

Anyone notice how Tobias Harris has been balling out with Orlando?

He's averaging 16.3 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.5 bpg since the trade, not including his 30 pts, 19 rbs, and 5 ast game tonight against his former team.
