I don't even know why there's some suspense with that one. Otto Porter is coming out, and in the off-chance that he doesn't, he needs to see a psychiatrist before being allowed to suit back up for Georgetown, because his stock isn't going anywhere but down after this year, and he'd be insane not to hire an agent ASAP.

Also, does anyone know the latest on Faried's injury? I saw a few hours ago that he had a bad ankle injury, but I haven't heard anything since. Gallinari's injury hurt them, but I still wouldn't want to play the Gallinari-less Nugz. Once you take Faried out of the situation as well though, I'm pretty comfortable with my team taking them on in a seven game series then.

MRI was negative.

I always love this statement...........Negative for what? That his fucking ankle didn't rip off his body. Ask him how "negative" that ankle feels.

Wow, did you walk in on Mrs HCP and Mixum or something?

Negative for a break. Doesn't mean anything more than that.

I know....... just cracks me up that its so general. When Wes last went down our PR guys told us X-ray was negative....... And I joked, "Ask Wes how negative it was"

nbastats

Duncan (23,768 career pts) passed Barkley for 22nd on all-time list last night. Next 2 ahead both active (R.Allen: 23,783 & Pierce: 24,010)

espn

Thunder go for 60th win tonight vs Kings; with win, it would be 13th time in NBA history that each conference would have 60-win team.

nba

Spurs Tony Parker (sore neck), Kawhi Leonard (sore left knee) and Tim Duncan (sore left knee) are out for tonight’s game at Golden State.

Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried has a ankle sprain of the Anterior Talofibular ligament but no fractures. Listed as day-to-day for playoffs.

He'd probably say it was 100% negative.

Steph Curry currently has 261 3 pt FGs made, 8 shy of Ray Allen's record 269 makes in one season.

Curry hit 7 3's tonight in a Warriors win over the Spurs. Hes one shy of tying the record and, obviously, two away from breaking it.

Game 82 is @ Portland. If the Warriors win they'll clinch the seventh seed outright. The Rockets play the Lakers simultaneously and hold a tiebreaker over the W's. After losing to the Suns tonight, however, they need a Warriors loss to get that 7 spot.

You mean 6th seed, right?

The Lakers actually have a shot at the #6 seed if you can believe it!

The #7 you mean, right?

What's the tiebreaker if LA beats Houston tomorrow? They'd both be 45-37, and they'd be 2-2 on their season series. Does it go their conference record (where the Lakers have a better WC record)?

It seems like every year I ask these questions... should probably just learn the tiebreaking rules by now...

From what I recall, it goes head-to-head record, then Division record and then Conference record. But I'm not 100% certain.

Per wiki:

Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
Better record in head-to-head games
Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
Higher winning percentage in conference games
Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference (including tied teams)
Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference (including tied teams)

So because they're not in the same division it bumps down to conference win %?

Yep, and the Lakers' conference record is 27-24, to the Rockets' 24-27. So, if the Lakers win tomorrow, they get the 7 spot and the Spurs in round 1, but if they lose, they could miss the playoffs entirely.

Go Rockets.

Tony Mitchell named 2013 D-League Rookie of Year

Fort Wayne Mad Ants rookie Tony Mitchell today was named the 2013 NBA Development League Rookie of the year as voted on by the League’s 16 head coaches. The award recognizes a first-year professional who most significantly contributed to his team’s success during the course of the season.

Legitimate curiosity here, but shouldnt the NDBL Rookie of the Year have been called up? Maybe he has and I just missed it but it he not called up now?

Well I guess this was the plan when it come to SJAx being waived:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 6m
Tracy McGrady will sign with the San Antonio Spurs for the rest of the season, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Hes playoff eligible too because he wasn't on an NBA roster at the deadline.

The Grizzlies just picked up Donte Greene using the same loophole.

Any other notable players out there that might be picked up for the playoffs?

The ones that come to mind for me are Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Yi Jianlian, and Delonte West.

Greg Oden. Tony Kukoc.
