Im curious, do you think the guy knew the racial undertone within what he said? Probably, but I'm wondering if he made it as some sort of sexual reference and was ignorant about the racist undertone included with it. As I admitted, I didnt realize it the first time I read it, I just thought it was sexually-related.
Totally agree.
In my world every day. Getting on your knees or putting on knee pads is all about being on the meat. Literally there is a joke every day multiple times. The world we live in now is going nuts. Not to say at all that the fan and Westbrook were not wrong in the way they handled the situation.

I still have the capacity memorized. 17,505. Chic Hearn used to brag about its size every game on the radio. Jack Kent Cook built The Fabulous Forum!

Chic? He's not a female. It was Chick Hearn.

You just said that where you come from, men are chicks.

When I was a Laker fan before moving to the Northwest in 1974, Women's Lib hadn't taken over yet. The media spelled his name then as Chic. Nowadays, we're all Chicks.

I chased chicks in the 60's. I still refer to them as chicks from time to time.
The ornery ones were Snappers and/or put
Their is going to be a few snappers and put in the dem debates!

and then there was "Wild Women" as in "lets go meet some wild women down on broadway".
Man, those were the days!

The only time I was on Broadway, I was approached by a slim, classy, very well-dressed, soft-spoken black prostitute. Oh, you mean Portland.

I think you may have been on Sandy blvd.

In Bellingham, I last saw a prostitute 40 years ago. Sitting in a bar, no business. They don't really exist here. 1/3 of the city population is college students.

Well the guy deleted all of his social media accounts. I'm sure there was some racist stuff there. maybe he said something we don't know.

I honestly wouldn't put it past a MAGA bot...

* I think it's going to be difficult for Portland to catch Denver. The Nuggets are 3.5 games ahead of Portland and they will own the tiebreaker....so, essentially they are 4.5 games ahead with 15 left. That's difficult math for Portland. If Denver goes 8-8 the rest of the way, Portland would have to go 12-3. If Denver goes 7-9, Blazers would have to go 11-4. Both scenarios are possible but both seem like real long-shots; especially if Denver beats Dallas tonight

* Houston is a half game ahead but Portland owns the tiebreaker (about the only one they own in the WC), so the Blazers are essentially a half game ahead. But Houston has a much easier closing schedule and have been lately playing close to the level they played at last season. Have to give Houston the edge.

It's easier to look at it if Portland beats Denver twice, they have to go 10-3 while Denver has to go 8-6. Not probably, but not impossible.
