So how does this new lottery system work? Lowest 3 teams have the same chance at the number one pick? Suns are shutting down Oubre, really making sure they stay down there.

Also the guy that uses every character available in Twitter.
Lets just be glad we got a poster back who wants to talk basketball. Thats what were here for (most of us...), and we may disagree, we might disagree with the delivery, thats what makes it fun, lets just keep it to basketball as much as possible. Ive thought he was way off base at times, but he’s probably thought my opinions were way off base too. Im glad he’s posting again.

Dallas and Memphis are the teams that need to tank. Both will lose lottery picks if they keep winning. Doncic was irate yesterday when Carlisle took him out after he scored 5 pts in a row to bring them back to 16 down with like 7 minutes left. Obvious tank last night

Thanks but I think loquacious, vain drivel is terrible, ESPECIALLY when it originates through intentional misinterpretations. Obviously, that's just me though.

As a comparison, here's how it looked last year.

We were deeper last year seemingly, but are more top heavy this year going against what all the pundits are saying about why we are better this year. Nurk's improvement has been massive. As has CJ's apparently.

How did we cut the GOAT Papagiannis

Not necessarily, Dallas probably wants to keep their pick but this is a weird draft other than Zion and they now owe two future 1sts to NY so getting the pick they owe Atlanta out of the way in this draft might not be the worst thing. Memphis actually wants to lose their pick this year. They are obviously in rebuild mode so they can't fully start that if they still owe a pick to Boston. It goes down to only top-6 protected next year and unprotected in 2021. They are actually trying not to tank.

Wow all 4 playoff teams behind us in the west all have identical records at 42-30.
a 3 game cushion in the loss column.

I believe the Lakers are 1 loss from being eliminated from the playoffs. Or, and this is where it's weird, one win by the Jazz, Spurs, Clippers or Thunder.

I notice Batum played off the bench last night. How long has that been going on?

Thomas Robinson down in the G league, hoping to get back to the NBA. https://www.boston.com/sports/boston-celtics/2019/03/21/thomas-robinson-celtics-roster-spot
Robinson said he used his time away from the NBA to focus on “things [he] felt like [he] was struggling with,” and he believes he is returning as a better passer with a basketball IQ. The 28-year-old is also continuing to refine his defensive game, which he attributes to increased more effort.

Who said anything about feelings? Simply stating a fucking fact. I wasn't discussing big picture. I'm saying our season series against OKC could not have gone worse. Objectively. Not that that fact taints our current position or standing or anything like that. In fact, I was replying to some smugfuckery told-you-so garbage that ignores the journey for the destination. It's about both for many of us.

I think it’s important to consider a few things about the series with OKC before you read too much doom and gloom into it. The first loss was on the road. Neither Dame or CJ shot well and had one of their poorest combined scoring nights of the year (33 point) and the Blazers lost by a bucket. The next two losses the Blazers were playing on the second night of a back-to-back. The final loss was the Blazers’ first game back from a 7 game road trip. Nurk went mental and got tossed so the Blazers lose in OT.

I don’t think any of that says much of anything about how the Blazers would fare in a 7-game series against OKC.

Totally agree. In fact, I hope we meet OKC in the playoffs at this point, especially if they continue to flounder.

The end of the season and the Mueller watch! Glued to news & sports section.

Best wishes to Spurs tonight, hand a loss to their cross-state rivals.

It will be ab interesting end of the season as those involved in the playoffs, including GS and Denver will likely have to play to the end or close to it to maintain each teams best seeding possibility. Should be a wild ride. Playoff level basketball before the playoffs

GSW/Denver; Portland/Houston; San Antonio/OKC/Utah/Clips. At least we know who is in, just not who plays whom. Coaches and scouts must be pulling their hair outs. So much more exciting than a team running away with it.

It sure seems like the Blazers play a lot of teams missing important players.... @ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP

well, Karma got the memo that it had built up a sizable deficit in Portland because of Walton, Bowie, Oden, and Roy, and needed some balancing. Must have been a rogue element with CJ

Karma also has a broadcast deficit with Portland too and that needs to be fixed, which means dear god no fucking reggie miller in the 1st round
