Never sounded more than speculation. I also like how Olshey admitted they’re being vague on purpose. Lends credence to the theory that they only said February to avoid any questions and not have a situation where people are expecting him back at a certain time. February is a super conservative date. They most likely know he’ll be back before then.
I'm sticking with that as my outlook. 10 months is the absolute earliest i have ever seen on that injury and that was not professional basketball and a person as big as Nurk. February would be doing very well.

So, hype summary:
Simons--"best player in the gym", "as talented as anyone Neil's ever drafted"
Hezonja--"plays with thrust", "point forward", accelerating the pace
Bazemore--"elite on both offense and defense"
Collins--"outstanding shot blocker", "best defensive player Whiteside has ever played with"
Whiteside--"loves passing", "will have a triple double"

What else should be added to the above list?
Nurk back early?

GM's are asked dozens of questions, and part of their job is literally to sell tickets, so of course, positive comments are going to come out.

I don't think any of these are of par with the Taurean Green comments, which were made by Nate, a coach.

Any talk about Skal?
Collins mentioned his name as a guy who might block shots I think. Whiteside also mentioned Skal as a guy who stood out in workouts.

I didn't hear Olshey say this but Freeman tweeted that he said Nurk was working out and shooting as a power forward! Hmmm.....

Play from here at 3:50. Olshey mentions 3 guys with Zach's body type in Portland. Including Jermaine and Sheed. Specifically says he can mention those names because they're retired.

Guessing he didn't want to say Aldridge to avoid tampering.

Why?

hmmm

Why? Because the Bucks just got fined for talking about planning on Super Maxing their own freaking player. No one wants to slip up right now.

Save me Mr. Zero Im so pumped for Blazer games lol.

100% agree. It shouldn't be tampering to talk about your own player. Especially the league MVP who everyone knows should get the Super Max anyway.

Yet players have already agreed to new deals before July 1.
