Brooklyn in: Ben Gordon, JJ Hickson
Brooklyn Out: Marshon Brooks, Kris Humphries

Humphries has been benched lately. Him and Gordon are basically a wash on salary. Brooklyn adds an upgrade at the PF position, Kris to JJ, and an upgrade on their bench scoring, from Brooks to Gordon. They might need to add a tiny bit to the deal to Charlotte.

Portland In: Marshon Brooks, Byron Mullens
Portland Out: JJ Hickson, less protection on our pick for this season and next season. Top 3 protected, unprotected.
We get something for JJ, get a 7 footer alongside Aldridge, whether he plays like one or not. Only 23, and add a bench scorer in Brooks.

Charlotte In: Kris Humphries, pick
Charlotte Out: Ben Gordon, Byron Mullens
Could probably use Humphries more than Gordon for their roster make up. With only top 3 protection on the pick, they likely gain an asset sooner than they otherwise would have. Gives them their pick, our pick, and the rights to Detroit's pick, as well as cap space to make a big move potentially this offseason. With improvement from Lillard and Batum from this seaosn to next season, as well as our cap space, they go from getting a sure thing this season to if it waits until next season, could be in the 20s potentially, depending on the acquisition. I dunno, though. Maybe Brooklyn throws them a tiny bit more, maybe we give them a 2nd as well?

Iman is the type of SG I like in the long-term next to Lillard.

High level defense with actual passing ability.

:edit:

No way NY lets him go.

Another gem they found in the mid/late first round.

We need their scouts.

I might deal Mathews in a trade if I could get Terrence Ross or Jeremy Lamb back.

The Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors have engaged in exploratory trade discussions on a potential deal centered around Carlos Boozer and Andrea Bargnani, according to sources.

If talks proceed to a more serious level, smaller contracts will need to be added to the deal to make the salary cap aspect work.

Still, both the Bulls and Raptors have given consideration to the move, sources said.

For the Raptors, the question is whether the organization can afford having both Rudy Gay and Boozer on the payroll moving forward.

The Bulls have long been assumed to be leaning toward using their amnesty clause on Boozer at season's end

Oh wow, Boozer and Gay. That's sure going to put the Raptors in contention.....

Can confirm discussions of a Humphries-Ben Gordon swap, as reported by @Chris_Broussard. "Nothing concrete" at this point, per source.

Hmmm, wonder if we can sneak in my portion of it. :)

That would be tight!:ghoti:

They made it to the semi's twice early 2000s, but never conf. finals.

You said the best. Wouldn't making it to the Eastern Conference finals be the best Raptors team?

we could always trade garbage for slightly cheaper garbage and get a 2nd back or something...

yay

That seems to be what most Blazers fans want just to trade our garbage. Everything else is pretty much out of the question.

im all for it, babbitt, elliot, jeffries, pavs and nolan make a little over 7 million and are expiring, if there is something there, do it to it

This isn't even a rumor, but GSW fans floating out the idea of a Klay Thompson for Evan Turner swap. Klay can go bomb away off of Jrue/Bynum (he seems to excel when Curry is out and not do so great when hes further down the pecking order). Turner can get to the rim and create and let Curry murder people off the ball. Provides a more balanced and athletic back court for GS.
