I don't know, both of those plays looked like they were drawn up for LaMarcus. Batum looked like the decoy to me.

With any other team, you can come out and say that this kind of win can result in few more based on the adrenaline and momentum, but we've had these games all year.

There's just not enough depth behind the starters. In about half of the wins this year the starters have had to pull more than a couple rabbits out of their collective asses to squeak out victories. It's a testament to the resiliency and professionalism of the players and Stotts for squezing just about every last drop of production out of this group that he can.

Probably based on your expectations. I expected absolutely nothing this year. Only wanted development. I'm just watching our games for fun this year, and these guys definitely do not disappoint.

This season is mediocre in the grand scheme of NBA things. But given expectations and what we've done, what a freaking season. We're on our way. I feel good about where we are. I can't be disappointed in this season. We've done some amazing things this year. Imagine if management gave us a bench.

I won't answer for yuyyza, but last year I wouldn't call what I watched after the trade deadline "fun" ... but it was enlightening.

yes, but i want wins usually. Going into games this season, I don't really care if we win or lose as long as we play well and guys improve.

Man I love these games but they keep me up so late. I live on the east coast and there have been so many crazy close games that have been good this year. No sleep for me

me too! Hard to get up at 7 after only 5hrs sleep and go to work. I used to be able to handle this much better when in school.

I hope these games teach the guys to never give up, be clutch and always know they can come back and win every game.

I hope it doesn't teach them to get down by 20+ points before they give 100% effort.

I've said it before (and I'm not alone), this team could've been a top 5 team if they had a decent bench.

I'm not sure they'd need a "top 5" bench, since the top 5 teams don't all play in the Western Conference. I'd put the Blazers starting 5 against almost all teams starting 5's. Not saying they're better, but almost all teams have holes in their starting 5.

Clippers have 2 really good starters, and 3 decent to OK. Two of their starters have PERS around 11.
Their strength comes from their bench.

The Warriors have a solid starting 5, but they have 3 starters with sub par PERS (below league average of 15)

The Thunder have 2 with sub par PERs (of course, having Durant plays a little role..)

Whereas Portland has 1 starter sub par PER, and he's barely below it. Their 6th leading scorer? Meyers Leonard.

Yeah, you read that right. The guy who is the 6th leading scorer is super raw. And the Blazers have 1 player in double figures in PER (Leonard) and the rest are single digit PERs.

One player with a decent game (like Kevin Martin does for the Thunder, or Jamal Crawford (puke) does for the Clippers) and the difference on this teams record would be noticeable.
