Thanks. He was willing to tolerate me up to about 30ft away. After that he started moving away. This is taken at maximum Zoom I had on me, which is the equivalent of 108mm on a 35mm film (full frame) - so not a very long zoom, but it is a telephoto - so not as close as you might think.

My better half was not very happy with me trying to get a photo of this horse - since it was in tall grass and there are lots of snakes around there...

This is rattler country - but this one does not look like one to me, but I have no idea of knowing it is is dangerous or not, so gave it a wide berth
