Thats a very small portion of the falls also. Amazing place. Look up the movie The Mission if you interested in more info. De Niro is in it.

Thanks man. This will be my first time living outside of Oregon. I just needed a bit of a change for a bit. I plan on coming back to Portland within a year or so. For now though I am going to make music, art, write, and help my sister with her Ornithology work in the panhandle of Florida. Going to miss watching Blazer games at bars......ughhhh

Wow, this brings back memories of flying to Philadelphia for Navy school right out of boot camp. It was in December and I remember looking out the window at a virtually identical world, shivering and being almost tearfully grateful to be from Oregon.......and that Navy school wasn't right down there.......

You've got to take the loop out the gorge to Hood River, south on Hwy. 35 until it hits 26 and then back down through Government Camp. Spring or fall, it will remind you just how great of a place we live in.
