Nobody does. Nobody cares, because they killed the sport... WITH A LOCKOUT.

Actually, there wouldn't be parity in the NHL except the Red Wings manage to fuck up every year.

NBPA's Hunter said NBA gave union an ultimatum.

Hunter said league came in today with "an ultimatum" of a 50-50 split.
 
Hunter says union proposed a band that would float between 50-53 for the players.
 
NBPA's Hunter said Cavs' Dan Gilbert told him to trust [Gilbert's] gut.
 
Hunter says players won't accept the 50-50 split until players know what the system -- lux tax, exceptions -- lools like.
 
Hunter: Spurs owner Peter Holt called 50-50 BRI take it or leave it deal.
 
Holt told union that owners wouldn't talk about the system unless players agreed to 50-50, Hunter said. "Take it or leave it," Hunter said.
 
Hunter says he looked at mediator's notes, and they said Holt and Silver described 50-50 as "take it or leave it."
 
Supposedly he showed up because he thought the owners were giving up too much, and he was there to deliver the 50-50 ultimatum to the players.

I wonder how many years it will take to get the fan base back to what it was prelock out if we start before January. Im betting it takes 3 to 4 years. If we scrap a whole year then Im betting i'll be dead by the time the NBA gets all the fans it lost back.

ugh. This is Billy Hunter's MO, and it's statement like this one and his "blood issue" thing that put him and the players in a bad light.
