Over first 5 hours, sides have split up to caucus privately two times.
 
NBPA source is hopeful that David Stern won't cancel the first two weeks of the season today. They're hoping the deadline gets pushed back.

For the next deadline, he should say the first 2 months are cancelled if they can't reach a deal. That way, the players would be out more money they then would if they agreed to the owners offer.
