NEW YORK — Not a lot to tell you at this late hour as the owners and players enter their 14th hour of negotiations, two shy of their record set one week ago, but here are the developments from the lobby of the lockout talks:
_ Chris Mannix of SI.com tweeted: “Sides are still navigating the system issues, source said, but believes a middle ground “is within sight.” BRI split still needs work.
_ Henry Abbott of ESPN.com TrueHoop ate a slice of the pizza after this picture was posted. Brave man.
_ The pros have arrived. And no, we are not talking about basketball players.
_ The free food pipeline has dried up. Paging Larry Coon.
_ The Sheridan boys, John and William, are sound asleep, unaware that the man driving them to school in a few hours will likely be operating a motor vehicle on zero hours of sleep.
_ Danica Patrick will be receiving a few angry tweets from my followers after my site went down at midnight for a few minutes.
 
The NBA, NBPA bargaining session has reached 14 hours in Manhattan.
 
Labor meeting still going, but league official says he expects that they'll shut it down for the night soon.

Nah, just some guy I know. Even in a room of really smart economists, he stands out. If you look at him, you'd think he was a plumber or roofer. A totally average guy who just has a special genius.

We're just about at 15 hours of negotiations between the NBA and the players' union, but guessing if major progress is happening is crazy.

Haven't seen any NBA PR folks in a while. Starting to wonder if the bargaining session has turned into a slumber party.
 
NBA rep reports the two sides are STILL talking
 
NBA labor talks have ended after more than 15 hours
 
Meetings just ended after 15 hours. Reconvene tomorrow at 2 pm

Media gathered in a small ballroom for press conference. Low expectations right now. Two sides reportedly already scheduled meeting tomorrow
 
I was just pulled to the side and told there was "movement bit not significant progress." Let's see what hunter and Fisher say now.
 
Fisher: We can't say that major progress wasmade in amy way but there was some progress on some system issues.
 
Fisher: We'll continue to work as long as we possibly can and as hard as we possibly can to try to get a deal done.
 
Fisher: "We're not going to get ahead of ourselves at this point. We'll stay focused on key principle items in our system
 
Fisher: We'll withhold specifis at this point. We won't have a finalized deal until that deal comes.
 
Hunter says it's difficult to agree on system without BRI split, but trying.
 
System issues.

Small-markets have these ego-driven players by the balls in these talks.

Billy Hunter: if there was any hope of trying to capture lost games, we had to get back in and talk..so we parked BRI & talked system
 
Hunter says he is still hopeful for 82 games if a deal can be reached by Monday. "It will be somewhat of a stressful schedule."
 
Hunter: "Depending on how much progress is made tomorrow, we'll be prepared to discuss specifics on a deal."
 
Hunter: "depending about how progress is made tomorrow, we may be in position to talk about specifics."
 
Fisher says economist Kevin Murphy won't be in the room tomorrow. Other than that, same small group.
 
NBPA's Billy Hunter mentions his interview with ESPN's Bill Simmons as possibly playing a role in NBA softening stance on 50-50 BRI split.
 
The NBA players union seemed tired but not angry or unhappy after the meeting, which is improvement from last time
