With six of eight on the road the last two weeks of November, I am hoping those get permanently cancelled soon. If they reschedule, hopefully the Indiana away game is later in the season. Would like to travel once this year to see the team.

Oh man, this would be incredible. Don't drop the ball now.

Only thing is, our guys are fragile enough as is. Filling in 82 games in 5 months instead of 6 will put us in more risk for injury. I hope they all just say fuck it and stick to a 70 games season or something.
Yeah, I don't want or need an 82-game season. If I were the owners I wouldn't want it either. Cramming in a bunch of back-to-backs isn't going to help average or total attendance, meaning the players would get their full salaries but the owners' gross revenue would be lower on a per-game basis.

WHY NBA LOCKOUT WILL END ANY MOMENT: 1 point of BRI=$40 million.. 1 week canceled=$160 mill.

I do not think it is only about BRI though. Even if they accept a 50/50 split, there are other issues that they are still far apart on.

Plus, also calculate each point of BRI X each year of the new agreement.

Back on the clock at the labor talks...looks like everyone has arrived and things will begin (or just began) shortly.

Another reason to end the lockout: NBA Store in Manhattan (47 & 5th) opens tomorrow.

Just so we're clear, odds of 82-game NBA season extremely thin. Lockout would have to end, like, today. 70 more realistic

Signs of labor optimism: Team execs cancelling scouting trips, preparing for free agency. Agents quietly reaching out to teams on players.

I've heard from several sources that #NBA owners and players are now steadily pushing harder than ever for a deal

Earlier today, Suns player rep Jared Dudley tweeted that he's "hearing whispers about a deal being close." Other players have said the same.

LETS ROCK!

Just spotted walking through the lobby: Mark Cuban.

Cuban has been one of the biggest proponents of ending the lockout. I think this is a good thing.

Oh boy

Ken Berger: Team execs I've spoken with optimistic for deal by Monday, but cautious. One says gut tells him "this will blow up one more time."

John Canzano: Jarrett Jack on lockout progress:"I don't believe anything that could happen until I see it. But I'm hearing that things have turned."

John Canzano: Jack said, "it could all be speculation," but that he believes 50-50 may have happened.

If 50/50 happened, players must have got all of their other demands

Owners/players broke for dinner after 6 more hours of system talk. Next round of talks will center on BRI. Players intent on staying at 52%

The union was waiting on its economist to return for talks on revenue split (BRI). His presence is a little less vital on system issues.

The two sides have been meeting for seven hours now in New York, and expected to go deep into the night again.

There's been significant progress on the luxury tax, but league sources say that there's still a couple of sticking points left to work out.

Players currently at 52.5. Intel saying if -If! - they budge, it's not likely to be below 52.

Beyond major items - system/BRI - still level of 'B' list issues (age limit, drug testing, conduct, draft rules) that haven't been touched.
