What good will 2 games do him, if he's just camping on the bench?

They're trying to see how his conditioning is, I think. That's why they're simulating roughly the minutes he would get.

This is the only possibility, but I still think he's the last guy in the pecking order until he has more practice with the team - similar to how Freeland, and Leonard now, have earned minutes.

The thing about CJ seems like he would rather get his teammates involved and uses his offensive ability to keep the defense honest. I like that way of thinking much better.
