I think a player of Pierce's caliber (claiming he was the best player inthe world after last year), with the (playoff - home) game on the line needs to make both of those free throws.

If not, I would consider it choking I suppose. IDK, because you can make arguements like Minstrel did. nobody makes them all... but I think in a clutch situation, especially at the FT line with the game on the line from a player like Pierce, you gotta make that.

3-second call in the last minute of the game? The fix is in.

The fact that Tyrus Thomas is the guy making shots for Chicago is fucking frightening for Bulls' fans.

Stop giving it to Gordon.. stop giving to Tyrus Thomas... Give it to your No. 1 pick and get out of his way.

fucking Ben Gordon.

Who was it (Fez or maybe Agentdrazenpetrovich) saying we should try and get Gordon this off-season ... do we need any more visual evidence of how terrible of an idea that would be?

Isn't that the definition of choking though?

I'd say the definition of choking is failing due to the pressure. Every missed shot isn't because a player choked under the pressure.

I think Bulls' fans are going to have a heart attack right now.

I wonder if Vinny of the Black really drew up a play for a Tyrus Thomas 20-footer.

So you think it was just a missed shot Minstrel?

Sure. Pierce has played great in a lot of pressured situations. I have no reason to believe he's affected by pressure. You try to make every free throw, but some don't go down.

I don't know what Chicago is thinking. I realize Thomas has been hitting.... but wow. Thomas is NOT the guy I'd want shooting.

Tyrus Thomas hitting jumper after jumper is perhaps the most unlikely way I'd have imagined Chicago winning this.

Another Tyrus Thomas shot. Wow. How about just ISOing Rose up top

Terrible play out of a timeout for the Bulls ... Ty Thomas as your go to shooter with 8 seconds left on the shot clock? Ugh.

The only one fans will remember is the miss if they lose.

I think you could make the argument either way. Only Paul knows the answer.

I liken this to us going to Channing Frye for our final five shots of the game.

I agree. I also think that is what happened though. You gotta come through in times like that if you are your teams best player (and the self-proclaimed best player in the world).

Is it dawning on anybody else just how amazing Brandon's playmaking and decision making is at the end of games after watching the Bulls terrible execution?

So he's played hundreds of NBA games, including huge Finals games, and this is when the pressure finally crushed him? ;)

Eh, more like Joel. Thomas is a bigger part of the Chicago rotation than Frye. It would be like having Joel take jumpers. I've never thought of Thomas as a jump shooter.
