oh ok thanks.Yes at the end
Not thrilled that Nurkic is going to work on his 3 point shot this summer. Not surprised though either....
Overall it didn't help Brook imo. Of course he made more of them (because he shot a crap-ton) but it didn't help his scoring more then other years and it hurt his defense and rebounding quite a bit.Look at how much it helped Brook and the Gasols this year. Need to keep up with the times. I think he'll benefit from shooting 2 threes a game or so.
Sure, but call me old-school but better neither imo.Better him than Meyers.
oh ok thanks.
This is a long ass break after Nurk..
Ya, by my count, they have Layman, Patty, Ed, Quarterman, and Fes left.oh ok thanks.

6th as I recall.Didn't the Blazers (small sample size; "easy" schedule) have a top 10 defensive rating during the Nurkic pre-injury run?

I can see him becoming our GM after he's done playing. Such a great perspective on team development and so grounded.

Believe it or not, defense is where the Blazers will miss his presence most. The Blazers posted a defensive rating in March of 104.2, which would place them sixth overall in the league if they’d hold that pace throughout a season. How much of a turnaround is that? Portland entered the month of March with one of the five worst defensive ratings in the NBA.
I'm OK with Nurk working on his 3pt shooting. He's such a good passer in the high post that you really want teams to not play off him and sag their bigs in the lane when he's out there. Make 'em pay only a few times with the 3pt shot and that will open the lane for everyone else.
Bang bang
Marc gasol is the prototype for nurk. Gasol shoots threes. Guess the next sentence.
Bang bang
Is Marc Gasol as good as he was 2-3 years ago? I don't think the added 3-pt sharpshooter element has improved his game overall.
It is easy to get hung up on points (because that is flashy and it does matter, of course) but he actually had his worst season ever in rebounding. Luckily he didn't seem to drop-off on D as much as someone like Brook Lopez did.He just had has best season statistically, so yes?

"I work well with confidence, and I don't feel like it's been reciprocated."
Perhaps I shouldn't have quoted you but I was talking above about over-all game personally. Someone mentioned Brook Lopez did great this year. I disagree for sure.yeah it is easy to get hung up on points....when talking about shooting.
And what does a players three point shooting have to do with their defense?
The only affect it can have is offensive rebounding, since he's further away from the basket, but if you got a big that can shoot near 40%, that's a weapon you have to use, because it pulls the opposing teams center away from the basket as well.
Absolutely. No disagreement here. Although I could see that changing as soon as next year.Gasol remains a beast. Best C in the league.
