I'd rather have Webster than Hughes.

I don't really see how this improves us all that much...other than getting rid of Swift.</div>
Hughes is a much better defender, ballhandler and scorer than Simmons and his contract is the same length.

Basically it's a way to replace Simmons with Hughes without impacting the plan for 2010. Both are a potential injury liabilty. Also gives much more flexibility with lineups. Harris, Carter, Hughes, and Dooling can all create and with our bigs that is a necessity.
</div>

The thing about him and Simmons is that they both have shitty contracts. It's just that with Simmons' contract being shorter, his is less shitty and therefore more appealing. And if the "plan" for 2010 is still to get Lebron, well, I don't think he'd be all that excited to have Hughes on his team again.
</div>
Simmons isn't shorter... they both expire in 2010. He'll be going out while Lebron is coming in. Not sure Hughes is a lockerroom cancer.

And don't forget his best seasons were with Washington in a motion offense. With some elements of that here Hughes could thrive again.

Why not? Nocioni is exactly what they need at SF. A frontline of Oden/Aldridge/Nocioni to go along with Roy and Bayless is pretty sweet.

You are forgetting Travis Outlaw.

Yeah right. I wasn't going into bench. There you have Pryzbilla, Outlaw, Blake, Diogu, Fernandez, and Rodriguez.

Solid team. They just need that veteran SF that can come in and play hard defense, be aggressive, stretch the defense with outside shooting, and help some of the other guys with his experience.

And as for Hughes being a cancer, on May 2, 2006 he was recipient of the inaugural Austin Carr Good Guy Award, designed to recognize the Cavaliers player who is cooperative and understanding of the media, the community and the public. This was one week before his brother died.

After his brother died he founded the Larry Hughes Foundation that helps familys with organ donations.

I don't think he's a bad guy or lockerroom cancer.

You didn't follow all that shit about complaining because he had to play PG, not caring about winning a championship, and not really wanting to play basketball anymore?

Not a guy I'd want on my team, at all.
