I thought it at the time (don't remember if I said it?), but when Pence was kept in the dark about Flynn's extracurricular activities with the Russians it sure felt like the wheels were in motion to put DT in a position where he'd stumble into impeachable offenses. Feels like it might have been the Republican/deep state plan all along.

Whole lot of shit we don't know, but this feels like a tsunami about to break.

Does impeaching Trump help, though? Is anyone more comfortable with a Pence/Ryan leadership? I think I'd rather Trump remain as a boat anchor around the necks of Republicans. After all, there were two fears conservatives had last year: 1. that Trump lost, taking a Republican Senate majority down with him, or 2. that Trump won, discrediting the conservative movement for a generation with a failed Presidency.

I don't know that (2) will fully materialize, but he's certainly off to a heckuva start on that.
