Thank god Cho didn't bid against himself and offer a Greg a huge multi-year extension.

I won't have to worry about getting that pinwheel tattoo when then Blazers win a championship anymore.

we can get Greg for cheap under a hardcap and have him at 110% when the lockout is over

The only thing I can think of is they say his left knee is stronger now than it was before he had micro fracture surgery on it and hasn't seemed to be a problem for him. Hopefully the same now happens with the right knee.

And in the meantime the Blazers will look to try and discover adamantium.

I'll have more room to strech out at the Rose Garden.

The fairweather fans will all fly south for the winter.

I'll have a lot of buffing cloths made out of all my Oden gear.

I can wear my Greg Oden jersey ironically and score some hot hipster chicks.

Silver Linings: Armon Johnson, Wesley Matthews, Nic Batum, LaMarcus Aldridge, Andre Miller, Marcus Camby, Dante Cunningham, and Joel Pryzbilla.

Top Ten Silver Linings about GO's season ending injury:

#10. Elliot has party buddy this season

#9. Sean Marks gets needed PT time to improve

#8. More time to tweet

#7. Pendy's got a shot for a roster spot next year

#6. You don't need solid knees to be a dentist

#5. GO has already been offered a role in a XXX movie called Weak Knees Rock Hard Sledgehammer

#4. It's_GO_time gets to finally change his screen name

#3. He gets killer pain pills

#2. Don't have to worry about GO's foul trouble

And the #1 silver linging from GO being lost for the season and beyond . . . . . . . Paul Allen gets his jet bedroom back

Any chance of trading Oden for Chris Paul has gone to a negative percentage. It was already at 0% with Paul and the Hornets doing really well and it being a pipe dream in general even if Paul was disgruntled, but now, we no longer have to keep thinking to ourselves that Paul for Oden and some extra pieces will be a decent deal for the Hornets.

that's not a silver lining.

perhaps this will be all too much for Larry miller and he quits to pursue other ventures.

that's not a silver lining.

Yeah, you're right. But at least we don't have to see ridiculous trades now (of which I sure I am guilty of as well).

How about this, tank 2011?

tank for what? we're not bad enough to get a lottery pick.

We very well could be if Roy is out for awhile. Especially because Camby will probably miss some games due to injury and Pryzbilla could possibly get pushed further back to play it safe. I guess if Miller, Matthews, Batum, and Aldridge all play like all-stars then you are right, otherwise, with out suspect defense, and possible lack of offensive firepower, watch out!

You're wrong.

We can get back to back lottery picks if we tank this season and there is a lockout next year.

BARGAIN!

Why? I think Roy would be a blast to watch a game with.

True.

Back to the topic...

Getting Greg back was only going to be a bonus, anyway.

I'm going to enjoy going to the games Thursday and Saturday against our two Division opponents. Even without Pryzbilla, we should be competitive. Have to hope Sean Marks doesn't have to play too much.

#1 At Least Greg is knows what Rehab is like, he won't have to waste valuable time learning his exercises.
#2 This still isn't the Z'Bo & Miles Era
#3 This is a wonderful teaching moment for whenever someone says "At least it couldn't be worse".
#4 More people will learn what the Gambler's Fallacy is.
#5 If (Insert Player/Coach/Owner/Fan/my name here) can remain upbeat during this, (player/coach/owner/fan/me) can remain upbeat through anything.
#6 Its not like the team is all that bad.
#7 Canzano still will write an article I find offensive about this

Quite the opposite. The more Roy is out, the better we'll be, as players get to have defined rolls, get in rhythms, get used to each other. With Roy hanging around, they'll struggle to do any of that.

Plus the fact that Roy is completely useless when he's on the floor, as he has been all season and pre-season. He just can't play basketball anymore, unless you want a guy who just stands around the 3-point line yelling, "I'm open!", or someone on Defense who can't move one step to his left, right, backwards, or forwards while putting absolutely zero pressure on the ball, or a guy who can't rebound anything, not even a missed free throw.
