I like this deal really interesting thought experiment I think it's all pretty even that being said, every time I think about Ariza in a Blazer uniform I think back to what he did to Rudy and I cant help myself here but FUCK TREVOR ARIZA. I dont want him to EVER be a Blazer Eric Gordon or try and find another team that will facilitate this deal. FUCK TREVOR ARIZA.

Would/can HOU trade Chris Paul so soon after acquiring him? It makes HOU better long term, but they still don't have their Big 3 to compete with GSW's Big 4. It makes them worse this season (CP3 is a MUCH better defender and passer than Kyrie). Kind if depends on the priorities of any potential new owner.

OTOH, it unites LeBron, CP3 and Melo in CLE for one more crack at the Warriors. That team, is old as fuck and all 3 opt out after this season. If Dan Gilbert thinks LeBron is leaving next summer anyway, he might just mortgage their entire future for a shot at one more ring.

Rudy was never the same after that. Hated Ariza for years.

Deal would be possible with CP 2 months after the LAC--> HOU deal was official, so AUG 27. He can be traded alone now I believe.
