I've been enjoying Melo Mondays podcast...dude knows his wines...his guests for the most part are not able to keep up other than that one New York fashion designer he hangs with...Jamie Foxx didn't seem to know that much but it's an educational podcast and I don't even drink anymore

I can't agree. Where he used to be a moderate efficiency chucker with no defense, he's now a low efficiency chucker with no defense. And, as a throw-in, his Assist Rate has cratered compared to his prime.

He's a famous name, but a bad basketball player (by NBA standards--he'd be one of the better players compared to us!).

I'd be happy having him off the bench, personally. We could go from a shit bench to a pretty solid one. Simons, trent, hood, melo gives us some good depth, barring any bigger changes.

Sure, and Anthony wasn't much of an upgrade--which tells you a lot about where Anthony is at this point in his career. Well, at least in terms of production and defense. He was better than who was getting the minutes before him, plain and simple. Didn't cost anything and was great in the locker room and in the huddle. I'll take him back in a heartbeat.

Agreed.

I don’t expect him to come back to Portland, though. Portland did do him a big favor, though. I suspect after his stint in Portland, more teams will be willing to take a chance on him. And I expect he would go to a team closer to contention.

Melo was old and sucked and yet he still got more love from the refs then Lillard did.

I want Melo to play here next season.....better him than a 40 year old Laker lovin' Pau at this point. We finally get a superstar free agent to sign here who wants to stay and people still aren't happy! Melo will teach Little and Hoard and Trent or Simons a lot about footwork. I like what he brings to the team especially in limited minutes
