I bet Melo is cool with not returning to finish the season. He proved what he needed to the rest of the league. He did enough to prove he still can help a contending team next season.

This season I said from day 1, no risk. Better than the guys that were playing and low cost. Depends on what we pay him and the roster next season. I really doubt he returns. He wants to win a ring before calling it quits. He’ll be in the purple and gold next season...... that’s my guess.

Melo did his job, he kept us in the playoff hunt while Nurk, Zach, and Hood were down. Now two of the three are set to come back, he can't be off this team soon enough for my liking. Him and Ariza, too.
 
Melo HAS done a nice job, and IS a part of this team. It's obvious you aren't a fan of his, but i feel he is important to the team reaching their goals going forward. He's fit in seamlessly IMO. Ariza has been a breath of fresh air on the defensive end, and is vital to this teams success on that end. He also has a nice shot from 3. Our Blazers are just starting to get healthy, why in the Hell do you want to weaken them? Foolish IMO.

When are you going to send me and THE MRS HCP some wine. We had such a blast our two times down to NAPA recently. I was getting my wine knowledge on! I am a certified Somalia now!
