Hood is a borderline AS. Favors would start. I'd think aboutit
Did you just post that HOOD is a borderline All-Star? What have you been watching. Dame and CJ are borderline all-stars.....and I'm quite sure besides you, there isn't one human alive that knows a lick about basketball that would say the same about hood.

Nope.

Ps. You failed to get your boy Sefolosha to sign with us!

Definitely. Not sure there has been an offer. Talked to him yesterday and he didn't wanted to be specific with the other offers he had. He just laughed and said was sorry not playing for my team.

Just messing with you. He signed with Utah on a pretty good contract. Probably right after you talked to him....haha

Right before. He phoned me a few hours after when it became public. 2 years 10.5M is a great deal for him. I was surprised seeing him going west because PDX is far away for Europeans.

Has nothing to do with my personal opinions. Only objectively looking at the outcome of the deal after the fact to determine who got the better end of the deal.

You keep talking as if it matters what you, me, or anyone else thought of a deal at the particular time it happened. If we can use context to justify every move that turns south, then no moves made by any team ever is a bad deal, and no GM should ever lose their jobs. Everything is just gravy, because hey, it made sense at the time!

Your track record is a reflection of the moves you make over time. With Neil, he's had his fair share of hits, but he's also had his fair share of misses. The jury is still out.

I remember when KP was fired, people were outraged (myself included), he was widely considered one of the best GM's in the league. Over time, a lot of the moves he made turned out to be not so great, drafting Oden, extending Roy, the Bayless trade that people thought was a steal at the time. Point is, I don't want to let the perception of someone cloud my judgment. You deserve to be criticized if the moves you made ended in poor outcomes.

Exactly, the argument that an GMs performance cannot be objectively evaluated based on seeing the end result is silly. How else could you ever determine how well your GM was at drafting? Judging that is not a proclaimation that you'd have made a better decision.

Sure they are putting the trade talks on hold but they will start up again after they sit down with him. Now that Melo has been teased with playing on a winning team, no way he will want to stay with the Knicks. This discussion will start back up in a week or two.

Man, he only played 1065 minutes for the Blazers. I think we all spent over a thousand HOURS talking about him :)
And IT WASN'T ENOUGH!!!!

Mainly, though, it's because his name is fucking awesome.

Me too. But the beauty of it is we DON'T have to be involved in this trade!

Actually, we're one of the few teams with contracts big enough to match salary, and with young talent. I'm pretty sure we're the bastards holding this up, and I think Neil is saying "either take Meyers or no deal."

Hold the line Neil! Don't cave!

I'm willing to bet that this is the trade that Neil is trying to make (with us also getting a pick.)

It sucks because we lose Harkless, but I think Neil is willing to sacrifice Harkless to get rid of Meyers.

And again....:
