I feel like Melo has never been able to effectively defend the 3 spot.
So I feel like he's always been a 4.
It also helps him offensively, because the closer Melo gets to the hoop the more effective he is.

I've always disliked Melo's game but we'd be giving up 3 below average players and getting the best player in the deal for 2 years. What do we really have to lose not going to win championship with those three guys but just maybe if Melo works out and GS has one major injury we give ourselves a chance. Another thing is we're more likely to get players to want to play with our group.
