Should the Blazers puruse Carmelo Anthony?

Just absolutely poetic in every sense of the word. Carmelo is pretty much gone for good and then suddenly gets picked up out of nowhere, thus putting the cherry on top of this sugar packed, diabetes inducing, pancake of a thread.

This news made my day. Not for basketball reasons, but for the sake of this thread. My countless hours wasted on this site now all seems worth it.
 
If history tells us anything, brining in a has-been star does wonders for team chemistry and winning.

Remember what happened when we brought in Shawn Ke... I mean... Detlef Sch... oh wait. Rod Strickl... nevermind.

I don't mind the move. It will be nice to get some shooting out of the 3 or 4. That being said this stinks of desperation but at 4-8 we should be desperate to be better.

When did you last see him play? He wasn't bad last season. Rockets actually continued to suck for awhile after making him scapegoat last year. He shot a career best 49% from 2 point range. He'll have a lot of space to shoot threes with us. I'm fine with Dame drawing three defenders and then kicking it to Melo in the playoffs. Also- Melo can be an underrated defender. And a rebounder.

I think he's going to love playing Blazer ball under Stotts...it's not the first reclamation project we've jump started around here!

The last time I really remember watching Melo play was with team USA and he was great...the dude shows up big for team USA ..
 
Carmelo's career effective field goal percentage is 48.2 percent. That's not very good. Though it is better than McCollum is doing so far this season, a miserable 45 percent, it's worse than all the other good scorers.
