I love the game of Olympic Melo.

I hate the game of NBA Melo.

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope we get Olympic Melo.

As long as Melo plays average defence, rebounds the ball, and knocks down open threes, he will be a great benefit to this team.

The week in early July 2015 after Olshey signed Aminu, Ed Davis, Harkless, and Vonleh to replace Aldridge and Batum, I posted, he didn't get a scoring forward. For balanced scoring, we can't have all our points from the guard position. Fanboys told me it's a temporary patch job, he's not done, he'll do more this summer, if not, in October, if not, at the midseason trade deadline, yada yada. I knew Olshey wouldn't do anything, but I sat back to let events prove me right.

While I think that Anthony became an overrated worthless ballhog by playing in a media center, he's just what we need. Finally 4 years later, we get a forward who can score. Anthony, a taller McCollum nonpasser, fits right in with the awful Stotts playground system. He will increase our wins.

To clarify that post (and to claim my territory for future bragging rights against the media's current conventional wisdom)--I predict that Anthony, who has always been an overrated 1-dimensional player, will do well here in that same role, and win us some games. I subscribe to the conventional thinking of roster balance--a team wins a lot more when its 2 top scorers are at forward and guard, instead of both at guard.

Edit: I bolded some words.

So... What am supposed to eat tomorrow? Should I wake up and pour some metamucil in my milk?

Man I missed Nurk Fever. Imagine Nurk and Zach with Melo, CJ and Dame. I hate injuries ugh.

Holy fuck did Melo actually look worse than I feared.

How many times was he "calling out defensive assignments" (lol) by pointing at the man he was supposed to guard who is left wide open? He's like that guy in the group project who starts yelling at people about how they need to do more who is clearly mailing it in himself.

Damian Lillard is literally breaking his back to keep this team afloat. I got nowhere near that sense of urgency from Melo, and this is the "honeymoon" period.

I think the Melo experiment may last a span of time somewhere between his stint in Houston and Rasheed Wallace's Atlanta career.

Lmao. I had to look up how long Sheed was at Atlanta. That's a little tidbit I never knew.... Good one....

He wears a do rag and scores only 10. No much: especially since Dame was out.

You guys really want Tolliver again on the court or more Minutes for Hezonja? Melo for 15-20 minutes on the court is not more worse than Tolliver or Hezonja, right now we have no other options, and we haven't seen him with Dame on court.

Give him some games before you guy says it a bust. I heard he play good in the 1st half but be watching sometime today before I give my opinion though.

Some good takes by Tim Legler in this video. I also liked hearing that Nurk may be closer to a return than we thought.

It may not be worse, but it isn't better either. They all suck.

At 4:04 he says that he heard that Nurkic is closer to a Comeback, wow this could change everything

Hilarious how some of the same people who say the team needs time to gel are some of the same people killing a guy after one game with the team when he hadn't played in a year.
