I have never seen so many talented kids as I did last night. It might be the single worst draft to miss out on in recent history.

Agree mediocre man. Figures the blazers likely won't have a pick. That kid Parker may be the #1 pick. Nasty.

maybe we can make some trades for a frist rounder.... lool

The opportunity to get a lotto pick would need to include Leonard, Claver and probably Freeland. I just don't think Olshey will want to go that far. I'm fine with the state of our team. There are some studs coming out in this draft, but will we be realistically contending for the top 5? I doubt it.
You think we can get a lotto pick with Leonar_, Claver and Freeland?
Yes. Around the 7-10th pick.
Portland No picks incoming

Portland's 2014 2nd round pick to Denver [Denver-Portland, 6/24/2011]
2015 second round draft pick to Cleveland

2017 second round draft pick to Houston

2018 second round draft pick to Sacramento
Sacramento has the right to swap its 2018 2nd round pick for Portland's 2018 2nd round pick [New Orleans-Portland-Sacramento, 7/10/2013]
Yes. Around the 7-10th pick.
Yes. Around the 7-10th pick.
If I were a rival GM who needed bodies, I'd give up a late 1st for ALL 3. I probably wouldn't give up a mid-1st, and certainly not a lotto pick - even in a bad draft. (and the next is likely to be one of the best).

Basically if we can't get top 10-15 pick.......then it is not worth trading for. Still would like to have our pick, but it's only the top 5 or so that are sure bets.
Any good bigs that might be available in that range?
I'll tell you what. So far this season, it's nice not looking at the lotto for the next game changer for once. I understand that this is a "game changing" draft; but the realism here is the game changers still couldn't be had (we would be a 8-10 lotto pick). Aren't you guys happy that we are in contention of the playoffs? Aren't you tired of watching other teams play in May?
