Cool so we are paying a guy another 100m for two years who nobody wants? Awesome.Go team by team. Obviously has to be a team that is in title contention, or wants to be, right? Start with the west...Suns? no. Memphis? no. GS? no. Dallas? Sure. Nothing to offer. Utah? Not anymore. Denver? No good picks to offer. Minnesota? Nope. Clippers? Nothing to offer. Pelicans? Nope. Spurs? Rebuilding. Lakers? Nothing to offer. Kings? Wanna hitch your wagon to Fox making close to 30 a year? I don't. OKC and Houston, no.
East: Miami is a possibility. Boston, unlikely. Milwaukee, unlikely. Philly, hard capped, and unlikely. Toronto maybe. Chicago, maybe. Brooklyn, nope. Cleveland seems unlikely. Atlanta no. Charlotte no. Knicks, likely a no now. Washington maybe. Indy, Det., Orl., all seem like a no. So what do we have? like 4 teams able to make an offer? Or likely to? Which of them have a bunch of picks from other teams?
We want himCool so we are paying a guy another 100m for two years who nobody wants? Awesome.
I actually think as long as Dame plays well as most expect, but the teams sucks, his value will be much higher come trade deadline. The injury will be of the past and teams will be more desperate to get what they believe is the piece to a ring.
No reason to trade him now.
I think most here are completely fine with sitting until the deadline. It's that weird in between time where too many teams made moves like you said and are not going to meet expectations this year, but they don't know that yet. It's idiotic to even present the notion of trading him now. Deadline? I can entertain it and understand if the team is not cohesive, living up to expectations.
But now? It's dumb.
"Hey we got all these new things to see if they can gel with our superstar. Let's see how it goes."
"Nah, trade out superstar. We already know we are going to suck."
".... What? We got these guys, or traded for them, or re-signed them to be with our fully healthy superstar!"
"TRADE HIM NOW WE ARE GOING TO SUCK"
That's the logic. That is to say, there is none to be had on that until the deadline.
Probably is, to have enough minutes for Dame, Ant, Hart, GPIi, and Sharpe (who Ive heard will play) at the 1-3, Nas will have to play the 4.Nas is on a nice trajectory to be potentially special. I think he has a higher ceiling than Ant. Plus, a trade could be in the works to acquire another SF.

I'm not sure i've ever seen a huge Cronin supporter but if there are some, i'm sure they are taking a reasonable stance and waiting for everything to play out. We aren't done
LLLOOLOLLLOOOLOLLMAAOROTFLMAO
Dude, do you not understand what "hard-capped" means? There are reasons teams avoid this situation like the plague.
11 teams were hard-capped last season. The plague is more prevalent than expected.
Are you saying we are gonna renege on the deals we agreed to?
It sounds like it would be rough for two of those guys to guard the perimeter. I cant see KAT doing well against most of the PFs in this league including the guy we just picked up. I think people are too quick to discount our draft pick who I think has the best chance of anyone drafted just now not only to be a superstar down the road but also to be a real impact player right away. I realize he didn't play in any college games that counted but he played against the best college talent in practice. So let's see how he looks next week in Vegas and go from there.A trio of Anthony Edwards, DPOY Gobert and Karl Anthony Towns? Sounds rough.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....No other way to put it.
This offseason was a complete disaster.
We blew up our team for “more flexibility”, “more size/length/athleticism” and the result?
We arguably got smaller.
I’m not sure we have any flexibility given Dame extension, Nurk (and Ant) probably got overpaid, same with GP2. Grant is probably going to get overpaid.
MLE - Guard
Draft pick - Guard
At least we got Grant, I suppose, but this off-season was truly an Olshey-esque like disaster.
We pretty much blew up the squad (good decision) in order to replicate all the same mistakes (unbalanced guard heavy roster with a bunch of overpaid players).
God damnit, Joe.
Edwards could be better than Dame next year. He is a true star on the uprise. If not next year, in another year or two.
That seemed like hyperbole to me to, that Edwards will very soon surpass Dame. I think Wolves are more talented based on known players (Sharpe being unknown) just don't agree that Edwards is close to Dame.Only if dame is still injured or he makes a huge huge jump .edwards is very nice, but he is quite far away from superstar status yet.
I don't think Edwards will be better than Dame this season or next, Also the Wolves are a worse built team than us. They are paying two guys 72M that can't defend the perimeter. So I think the Wolves made a worse deal than Cronin has but obviously I could be wrong. That seemed like hyperbole to me to, that Edwards will very soon surpass Dame. So now the #7 pick who hasn't played in a year just out of high school is the hope this team gets better this year?
And the next and the next. There are other hopes. We can hope Ant is just as good at SG as he was at PG which would make us pretty damn good. We can hope that taking Grant from the first option to the second or thirs drastically increases his offensive efficiency and allows him to concentrate again on defense. So now the #7 pick who hasn't played in a year just out of high school is the hope this team gets better this year?

Out of curiosity, which teams?
He doesn't understand the hard cap or matched salary must be guaranteed.
