1) Nate for coaching up this mess?

2) KP for bringing in the right combination of players? (Miller, Howard, Camby)

3) The players themselves?

4) A combination of the above?

5) None of the above?

Dre Miller and Juwan Howard. Probably KP.

Although, some might argue that Miller was KP's last choice - not someone he had originally targeted. And, that Camby was brought on because Vulcan had a gun to KP's head to get something done by the TD.

I was gonna say... reason we are in the playoffs...

1. Andre Miller literally saved this season.

2. J Howard also saved us.

3. Webster (played every game and played well when key guys were out.)

4. Camby has won us at least 5 games since we traded for him.

we all said miller was a bad fit and was just a last ditch effort but man... anyone out there today who would rather have hedo instead of miller? infact was there a better signing this off season then miller?

without miller... we dont win 35 games. maybe 30

we have had many guys step up. bayless, cunningham, and pendy also stepped in at key times when all hope looked to be lost.

biggest wins of the year.... @OKC, home vs houston oden game, @MiAmI, @dallas x2, @SA, home vs lakers, home vs SA, home vs orlando, @suns before break, @Grizz, @GS, home vs dallas

to be continued

No we all didn't clown.

The next time you get something right will be the first time.

You're like some amazing get it wrong machine.

I'd hate to hear your latest set Terminator X. Would probably send the entire Rose Garden into a coma.

Clearly, Mix-ster MC Rudy Ceeee does b/c . . . apparently, as he goes, so goes the blazers.

Funny stuff right here.....

No one hates Miller. Blake gets 100x more heat. Miller's just not the right fit.

I was a big proponent of the signing and have been very down on the way he's been used, but I'm increasingly of the above opinion. He and Brandon just don't play off of each other really well and spacing has been a problem

Well, if NBA execs really love him, then I hope we can really get something for him in trade; but considering how little demand for him there was as a free agent, I'm not getting my hopes up.

I like Andre Miller, he just is a poor defender and he doesn't seem to fit this team. One thing with Blake, he hasn't been hitting his 3's, but you know that he has the potential to get back on track with those. But we know that Miller will never hit 3's. And this team needs guys who can hit 3's.

Neither is a good fit for this team.

I'd like to take up for Miller, but he's only marginally better than Blake. Both have had plenty of opportunities to win the starting spot, but neither deserves it after getting their asses handed to them by Bayless.

I'd like to see Steve get traded, and have a feeling that he will be the most in demand due to his expiring contract.

Miller is the odd man out. He's not a great defender. He's not really creating much for his teammates and he's not shooting all that well. Blake was in a slump but he broke out of it tonight and I expect him to start shooting better again. Miller can't shoot so good riddance. Bayless can get to the hoop and shoot from the outside. Miller is unnecessary and as was previously said, Miller's career will be over by the time our championship window arrives. Lose him now.

It's not Miller hate really. I am supportive of him. I just think he is making too much money for the production he's putting out. I blame Nate not being able to use Dre to his skills, but it's obvious Nate really isn't going anywhere. Blake may not be here next season either. I think the future will be Roy, Fernandez and Bayless as the main guard rotation, with a filler player or two. What's nice is Webster can play 2 as well.

This isn't going to realistically happen.

It was up to KP to bring in a guy that could fit with the team.

KP went out and did the opposite of that.

He needs to make a deal to rectify this mistake.

I have nothing against Miller. On a different team he would great.

But Portland doesn't play the way they would need to for Miller to thrive. And they aren't going to in the next year or two either.

I don't dislike Miller, I just think he is a bad fit here.

Miller's a passive-aggressive jerk. He can't be traded soon enough for me.

Funny how things seemed to work out, like i thought they would, and you look at phili and the shit they are in, and i just laugh

Im happy for LZ and everyone else that shares that sentiment, just not my sentiment

Brandon Roy. If your team has a superstar, you always stand a chance of winning in the NBA. Even in a game like last night where he wasn't that much of a scorer, he was such a massive distraction that a lot of other players got some easy looks. When guys get easier looks, they tend to "overachieve."

I'd put Andre Miller in second place. I've always respected his game, but over the last few months he's really become one of my favorite PG's in the league. He's nowhere close to the best, but there's just something about the way he plays. He kept this team alive when Roy went down.

I always feel this team stands a good chance of winning just seeing Roy and Miller in the starting lineup.

Who would get the blame if it wasn't working? That person should get the credit...

I understand what your are doing here, but in my mind teams don't over-achieved. They play up to their ability or not. This team has achieved what they have have earned. :devilwink:

No single individual deserves the credit. Everybody who fought through those tough times deserves a piece of the pie. It would be very hard for anybody here to not look back at the games, and not see that every player/coach/GM stepped up during different games/times of the season.

A combo of all. Pritchard gets the bulk of credit though. As good as the players and McMillan have been, it was Pritch's blueprint, fortitude, and actions that put people in place to succeed.

I agree. I'm not even sure what over-achieve means. Either you achieve or you don't.

This team was a 4 seed last year, had a bunch of injuries and are now an 8th seed with a chance at 7th, and still a very good chance at a first round exit.

Granted they have surprised me as I thought the season was down the tubes early, but they really actually have just kept the boat afloat as we all cross our fingers that this thing takes off again next season with everyone back.
