Timbers 2 nights ago clinched a spot in the championship final by knocking off Philadelphia. At stake is a million dollars and a berth in the Concacaf Champions league. Tune in Tuesday evening at 5:30pm for the final against Orlando.

I've been watching. The Timbers look really fucking good right now. Orlando has a few nice players, but the Timbers are deep when it comes to attacking options.

Concacaf champions league has to be dominated by the Brazilian sides, right? Like Santos, São Paulo, Flamengo, etc.?

Edit: never mind I forgot about Conmenol lol

Concacaf is the North American and Central American teams. Mexico typically dominates.

I still think MLS and LIGA MX should combine and set up a proper promotion/relegation table.

thats been in the works for awhile but I think it’s a bad idea
If it can get more exposure, more talent, and give a legitimate league for homegrown talent to grow in, it will be worth it.

Liga MX recently suspended pro/rel for 5 years and it has nothing to do with Covid. MLS will never adopt pro/rel because it makes no sense for a league built on parity. Leagues with pro/rel are top heavy and have a bunch of selling clubs that have no hope of winning anything. In England where every town has a football side, it is necessary in order to have an organized competition and makes perfect sense. MLS doesn't give a shit about the US Open Cup either which is too bad imo.
