Oh if that's the case, play him. We're going to loose anyway. Might as well piss a Western Confernce rival while we are at it.

I don't know what he could protest, unless he intended to keep him instead of waive him if found viable as a player by the NBA, and I doubt that was his intention. If Darius is NBA capable, is it really ethical to try and stop him from playing? If it's the NBA's fault, then we'd still have him on our roster if they had made the right call. I don't like it, but I don't know what could be done about it.
