It would probably be Zach + Gary for Lauri. Thing with Lauri is that he solves none of our problems. Just another no defense 3 point chucker who can’t pass. I mean, he’s a good chucker, but still. Doesn’t touch the needle.

I'm tired of lateral moves.
For this season though, I’m fine with it. All 3 are RFA and I can’t say which one will end up the best player out of the three. Think Lauri is the BPA technically at the moment.

I'm still thinking big, in fact, bigger than ever. I hope Neil is too. I want Siakam and Nance both. I'm trading CJ for Siakam, using New Orleans to conduit young players and draft picks to Toronto. Then, since CJ is gone, I need to substitute Little in for Trent in the trade to get Nance. Guarantee the pick to Houston, because i know with these additions there is no way we will be in the lottery, so I can send a future pick to Cleveland. Hate to give up Little, but at some point you gotta stop talking about Lillard needing help right now and do it.

An all time low defense cannot become a contender with a trade. Rebuild, take it down to the studs.

If we’re not gonna defend we may as well get Markkanen and just try and out score everyone

Something that the impatient fans do not seem to be getting is the Blazers do not have many assets at the disposal so it makes deals like getting a Aaron Gordan very hard but i guess some like to live in there own little fairy tale land where trades happen like they do in NBA 2k.

However i would be surprised if they do nothing cause i thought bringing in a guy like a Jevale Mcgee type player was possible to shore up area's of need.

if Portland is actually shopping Trent, it's because he will be RFA this summer. Markkanen will be RFA too and may command more money than Trent
But maybe he is a better fit? I don't know, because we need a big guard to make up for some deficiencies.

Lauri is averaging 18 and 6 on 40% shooting from 3 in just 30 minutes per game. Think of the wide-open looks he would get in this offense. He's also just 23 years old. I love GTJ but Lauri would start in Portland, GT would be a 6th man.

Trent, Ant, Nas, DJ, a simple phone call and three first round picks available, Hood's expiring contract we have assets we just have a complacent GM.
