LOL...so, RJ Hampton was the "young talent" Orlando accepted. Gary Harris is an injury-prone, undersized SG with another year left on his contract.

hard to believe Portland could have topped that
Yeah, seems we could have easily beat this, but perhaps Trent Jr was not made available?

I have said this before. Dame is the reason Stotts is still here. Dame is the reason CJ is still here. Dame is the reason Neil is still here. He has put zero pressure on the organization to take risks or make changes. Do you think Kobe or Jordan or LeBron would have allowed the team to wallow in mediocrity the way that we have for the past six years?

I said this a few weeks ago and it went over like a lead balloon in here

He might not have put pressure on the organization but I need an article to back up this hypothesis that he is keeping Neil in place first and foremost or holding the franchise hostage to keep Terry and CJ here. I don't believe it. I here him say this is a business all of the time. He's had good friends on the team traded before. He might not love it but he would deal with it... his brand depends on that.

Edit: It's not his job to trade away his friend or be a coach killer

The Blazers are the ugly duckling. Don't get to take part.

in general every tweet I’ve seen has been “the magic won the deal” from fans on both sides. Look at the Twitter replies under Woj.

that said, it would appear Twitter is pretty high on RJ Hampton. And calling him a scrub bench player as a rookie is a bit disingenuous.

He scores 2.6 points in 9 mpg. As of now, he is a scrub. He may develop, but this is about 'Now' for Denver. Good for them. Likely bad for us.

This is why I feel bad for dame. What a garbage organization he plays for

Dame is the unequivocal owner of the team. If Dame came out publicly and said that he was tired of having to carry the team night in and night out and that he's tired of getting swept out of the first round, guess what would happen? The team would do something about it. We have an owner who isn't a basketball fan. We have a front office that seems content to just earn a paycheck. We have a coach who is perfectly happy to just hand Dame the ball and let him keep him employed. Dame is the one who has to rock the boat. Dame is the one who holds the cards. He's the superstar. He's one of the top players in the league. If Dame wanted things to change, they'd change. Therefore, from simple deduction, the fact that things AREN'T changing means that Dame isn't making any noise.

The Blazers not getting AG is causing a complete meltdown. Dude isn’t that good anyway.
Neil's constant complacency... one lateral move after another... holding onto guys he picked like their his own children... keeping Stotts... and doing it all for nine fucking years is causing a complete and justifiable meltdown.

Random fans on twitter get to decide who won trades now?

They’re about as qualified as my opinion, yours, or most “reporters” although who won a trade “real time” isn’t important.

the point was that the magic, and a majority of the nba world consider RJ Hampton to be a good trading chip.

If Blazers do nothing Im thinking the hold is coming from Seattle? Which could means Neil and Stotts are will fade soon and/or the team is negotiation with a buyer? Just a wild ass guess.
