Hood, Trent, a future 1st to Philly for Curry and Maxey

They already have Norm Powell who is averaging close to 20ppg this season. I don’t think the Raptors chase Trent.
He has a player option after this season, so could see them moving him at the deadline.

A Trent and Hood for Powell trade would be a Neil move, would remind me of Barton for Afflalo in some ways.

I have always liked his game....even at UCLA.

I don’t believe Trent will be traded. Makes more sense for a team to offer him a contract over the Summer.

My list of potential trade candidates, in order:

CJ (he needs his own team and we’d better move him before it’s simply too late) We need to sign Trent or match an offer to keep Trent.

Hood (good bench depth for a contender, which is why I’d prefer to keep him) that said, his salary and contract makes him a chip.

Ant (I’m not sure if why Stotts went and benched him rather than showcase him these past three games...so he is either part of a trade in the works or he’s not on anyone’s list. I think he’s a good fit for a team like Minny, Detroit, Atlanta, Orlando and perhaps Philly.

I see an upside to Little and would like to keep him - same with Trent.

Kanter isn’t going anywhere

Melo likes it here and doesn’t buy us anything in a trade, so he stays

Nurkic stays only because he’s not returned and nobody had seen him play. That said, McGee interest might be because there is interest from a contender...

CJ / Ant / Kanter to Philly? Simmons a Blazer?

Kevin O'Connor was downright giddy about Portland potentially landing Gordon on the ringer podcast today. Said he is the most perfect fit and playing with Dame would unlock Gordon. But execs he has connected with have said Boston is the current front runner but we should go all in.

I'd really like to know what our current offer is.

I also want to see how resistant we are to enter the tax. Its a massive multiplier effect next yr but if Gordon can make us a title contender this yr, Jody would have to think about it.

Very unlikely Portland will go over the cap to get this done due to the repeater implications because they will likely be over next season. If it's going to happen, it's going to have to keep Portland under that Lux tax line.

IF the were to do it, they may be even more attractive for a buy-out candidate so hopefully there is enough room left over to accomplish that as well.

Have you heard any more in recent days from your SAUCES?

If we could get away with a package of Hood/Collins/Ant/Nas and any additional picks for Gordon and a combo of Birch/Bacon/Gary Clark for salary purposes. If we can get AG without giving up Trent we would have a pretty ridiculous Top 8/9.

I'd rather give Jones than Little. Besides talent, we won't be able to afford Jones with Trent and Gordon. Nas is still on his rookie deal which is more feasible. Jones is also SUPER young. I also thinking sliding Covington to the starting 3 with Gordon at the 4 makes the most sense.

Yup. We don't have bird rights with DJJ. He should realistically be included in any trade.

I'm pretty sure due to his contract being the length and PO in 2nd year he has a no-trade clause, am I correct?

Can't be not picking when it comes to big trades like this. You have to go all in!

I doubt Portland would obtain Gordon w/o sending Trent out. One, he is one of the more valuable young pieces who has shown he can produce so he is included with players like Hood or DJJ to make salaries work. Second, having Trent and CJ makes little sense going forward because of the salary requirements. If you can use Trent to upgrade your frontcourt when your backcourt is full, you do it.

I don’t see Gordon coming to PDX without sending back Trent/Little/1st.

I really don’t wanna get into a bidding war with the Celtics over Gordon.

That might very well be what is happening. Smart move by Orlando to play both teams against other to get what they want.
