Trade for pick 3 or 4

IMO if we trade up to get pick 3 or 4 its so we can turn around and trade the pick to San Antonio or New Orleans for one of their Pg's. Both teams are looking for good young big men and there is a couple available in this years draft.

I guess that is if you buy the argument that they are available. These days PG are pretty important, and you are either a team that has one, or you are one of the rest who wishes they did.

I don't think that it is that hard to move up in this years draft. Outside of the #1 pick, I see them all as obtainable. It's not like the years where guys like CP3 are sliding down to several spots.

after hearing that a single second round pick is going for around 1.5 million dollars, what then would be the cost to get up to 3 or 4? I'm not saying it's impossible (it's not) but I have a feeling that the Nets or Wolves would want to extract a heavy toll to get up that high.

At the same time, maybe some of the financial problems of the NBA owners speak more to the cash cost of a draft pick, then what it would cost in a combination of players and draft picks. Owners looking to sell picks are looking for financial relief. Owners looking to trade a 3 or 4 are looking for a player combination that will upgrade their sad ass team to competitive and get fans in the seats.

A lot of teams would trade the 3/4 pick in this draft for Aldridge. You're heavily underrating him, perhaps because he hasn't lived up to expectations. He's basically been the power forward equivalent of (pre-decline) Caron Butler. The guy you (and I) coveted a couple of years ago and didn't think Washington would deal unless they got something really good (and they didn't trade him until his play and trade value had dropped a lot). Aldridge may not be a big-time star, but he's a really good, really valuable player. Plenty of GMs, in my opinion, would rather have him than a prospect who is both unproven and not considered a "can't-miss" talent.

Wow didn't think it was crazy enough to be accused of eating mushrooms, lol. IMO we have plenty of talent, expiring contracts (Joel and Miller) to work out just about any deal imaginable. I also think the 3rd or 4th pick in this years draft is very attainable. As far as Parker or Collison both teams have two good PG's on their roster and they both need good young big men. Doesn't seem crazy to me they would be interested in Cousins or Favors. I think both teams would be very interested in either of these players along with say Rudy, or Nic, Bayless and/or an expiring contract.
