No thanks... As much as it would be cool to have a lineup of Kidd, Kobe, Walton, Pau, Bynum, it wouldnt feel right LOL
because:

If the Lakers add Kidd, the chemistry of the team and of the triangle would be totally out of sync since 2 major pieces (Kidd and Pau) wouldnt have learned it yet

Our rotation would explode with Kidd, Fisher and Farmar as PG, Farmar would be the victim here since his development would be hindered

This would no longer be a "Kobe" led team with Kidd and Gasol and even if the Lakers won the Title, KB24 would still be bashed that he couldnt win a ring without the help of another dominant player (shaq) and good players (rice, fox, horry) or without help from 2 other all stars (gasol and kidd) and good players (odom, bynum, fisher)

At first I thought you were going to suggest a Kidd to New Orleans trade (which who knows why they would because they have Paul)...and then the thought of sending Kidd to play for Byron again made me smile.

I think the Lakers are done. Kidd is not a triangle player. The Lakers are perfect in the sense they have Kobe and Gasol as the shot takers, both are versatile enough to create from the low block or at the high post. Then when you have Odom play the point forward from the 3 slot, it gives you a nice triangle of weapons that can create and shoot. If Gasol or Kobe draws a double there's the luxury of Fish knocking down the 3 point bombs. Something Kidd can't do. With Walton, Farmar, Turiaf, Radman and Ariza off the bench, it's a quality mix of players who can do most anything. Walton and Farmar playmaking and knocking down shots. Radman the long range bomb, Ariza the athletic wing finishing and Turiaf toughness in the paint.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jason Kidd to the Lakers isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Los Angeles could make Lamar Odom available and package him in a three-way trade with the Bulls that sends the Nets Andres Nocioni and other pieces, while Odom goes to Chicago with other parts.

Also, the Mavericks' loss at Boston without Kevin Garnett and trouncing at Detroit on Sunday could make them up their pursuit of Kidd, especially if the Lakers keep winning.

T-minus 17 days until the trade deadline.</div>

The deadline week should be really exciting. Can't wait to see what happens.

I wonder if the Lakers are really in play for Kidd. Phil doesn't like changing his lineup midway through the year and the Gasol trade is already one major acquisition...is he up for another?
