And the homers that act like everything is ok and Dame will stay here forever just because are annoying to me.

I like the takes Nate has.
I appreciate it man. I have to be political in how I talk to people at work or at family functions or on Facebook, but this is one of the few places I can post whatever I want and not give two shits if someone doesn’t like it.

Did you realistically think Milwaukee was going to win the title this year?

Did you think Phoenix would be in the Finals?

The NBA is definitely in a weird period of parity right now. There isn't a clear super team. If we were able to get someone like Simmons and re-sign Norm, I'm really not sure if this team couldn't put it all together. It just depends on what Chauncey does.

Parity doesn’t really explain the Bucks and Suns being in the finals as much as the fates wiping out the Nets, Nuggets, Jazz, Lakers, and Clippers.

The Bucks have three all stars. They have Brook Lopez and a bunch of really good role players (pat c, portis, Forbes, Tucker). It’s not surprising they were champs considering the other threats were injured.
But Bucks were injured too.

I am not a homer BTW it's just that i do not see much positive energy from you -- that is just my point --- do not get me wrong i do realize there is a dark cloud in the area but i do not feel like focusing on it FOR NOW

NateB your act is getting old and starting to rub me the wrong way cause your almost always negative and granted there are some things to be concerned about it's not time to hit the panic button and this message goes to some other fans who are having mini melt downs via whining.

Give it a week or 2 and if NeO has not done anything THEN maybe revisit the meltdown idea but til then CHILL out and let things play out.
We won't have to give it a week or two. In a few days we'll either have re-signed Norm or he'll have signed somewhere else. If he's here then there should still be a lot of optimism that we can get a good forward in here for a package centered around CJ. If Norm is gone, I don't see anyway this roster gets better which is what Dame mandated. So I remain hopeful. I will be anxious about it until I see what Norm decides to do.

Definitely nothing wrong with it. But the “best” team he is going to get isn’t going to compete for a title. He’s been on some good teams. If he wants this team to be a legit threat that’s a huge question mark
I think the only way we make the leap forward is to go all in on getting Simmons. Despite reports that the Sixers aren't interested in CJ, I don't believe that because he's such a good fit for them. I think they want more. I think they would take CJ, three future firsts and pick swaps. Simmons could very likely be better than Dame by the end of this season... if he could just hit open set shots and free throws he would be.

Having two guys on that level surrounded by guys the caliber of Norm, RoCo and Nurk... with a bench of Ant, Nas, DJJ and someone we get with the taxpayer MLE. This team would make noise in the playoffs and would be contending a year or two later.

Yeah, it's a tall order, for sure. I can only assume he's been privately asking for a long time.

Just hoping Olshey can make a Simmons/Siakam type move now and then maybe get lucky with another opportunity now or at the trade deadline...

Maybe another Simmons type situation.

Also Bucks have 2 All Stars, not 3.
They’ve had 4 actually recent all stars. Not Carmelo Anthony all star from years ago. Jrue Middleton Lopez and Giannis. And those guys also have all defensive selections. Portland isn’t close to that.

Didn't call you a homer my dude. There are a lot of them around here though. Those posters annoy me more than the pessimistic posters.

This is because you're a catperson... I don't mean a person who loves cats I mean something like this

The homer comment was more aimed at NateB then anyone else -- but all this talk is kind of getting off topic and i take some blame for that -- so let's get this back on topic -- LOL

indiana is supposedly shopping turner & brogdon, in case some of you want to move nurk & cj mccollum

maybe youd be interested

send his ass to the Thunder with a pick for Favors. Or Sacramento for Bagley
ah yes. the annual take a flyer on a Sac PF trade.

It's uncanny.

Thomas Robinson (via HOU, but still was a Sac bust), Skal, Gabriel, Giles, and Bagley. lol

Also, technically does Zach count? he was picked by the Kings officially.

Literally all busts.

Zion's supposedly getting antsy and they struck out in free agency. This would at least give them a big"ish" 3 to placate him at least in the short term.
If I thought it was a terrible deal I would have said that NOLA would never do it... they just will need to see CJ as a third player to their bigish three, which is very possible.

I can't believe Zion is getting antsy after 1.5 years. If he's already antsy they should just trade him now.

While Nola would love to have CJ I think you have to find a way to remove one of their two Centers from the deal and substitute someone else.
ya that's a minor flaw. but plenty of serviceable Cs still on the market for the minimum like Khem Birch or Kanter/Whiteside even. What they need to do is make Zion a fulltime C, but it's really not a bad lineup.
CJ
Temple
Ingram
Zion
Whiteside

with Graham as a 6th man. I think that's a playoff team out west and a trio of CJ-Ingram-Zion could give teams trouble.

Nola just signed graham, might take them out of wanting cj.
i would hardly think so. They gave up a prized Lonzo ball for Graham. Would not count that as a win. Nor would I count trading away a lottery pick for Valanciunas to compensate for mistakes of the previous year as a positive either.
