I’m fine with love as long as Collins isn’t in the deal.

Chris Broussard and Colin Cowherd just randomly mentioned how well Love would fit on the Blazers. Seemed odd and out of nowhere that they would bring it up en route to talking about the finals beatdown, and then just in passing.
What I'd like to see--use the TPE to get Faried and the 14 from Denver, then wait a couple months and bundle Faried and Aminu (both expiring contracts) along with Swanigan and a pick in exchange for Love.I’m fine with love as long as Collins isn’t in the deal.
They mentioned it, and it's the obvious connection, but it just seemed odd that two national guys would even mention it at all, as it really had nothing to do with what they were talking about. Most likely it's because of Love's Portland connection more than anything.
POR Gets: #14, #43, Courtney Lee (TPE)
DEN Gets: #24
NYK Gets: Kenneth Faried
POR Gets: #10, Tobias Harris, Jerryd Bayless
DAL Gets: #12, #13, 2019 POR 1st, Caleb Swanigan, Jake Layman
LAC Gets: #5, Meyers Leonard, Al-Farouq Aminu
PHI Gets: #14
Draft Mikal Bridges 10th, Shake Milton 43rd
Lillard / Baldwin / Bayless
McCollum / Lee / Milton
Bridges / Harkless / Turner
Harris / Collins / ?
Nurkic / Davis / Papagiannis
That lineup is much better, and still young and that's with two draft-day trades.
I say we still go after LeBron and Love via a LeBron opt-in and trade. Offer Turner, Harkless, and 2021, 2023, and a RTS 2024 1sts. That lineup should be enticing for LeBron and might actually be his best option to win. If not, just roll with that squad.
Most likely it's because of Love's Portland connection more than anything.
yep and the fact until Collins wins the position we still need a starting legit 4.Most likely it's because of Love's Portland connection more than anything.
I've always liked Lee's game plus he's a seasoned vet much like Gordon and the guard that comes off the bench form the clips? cant think of his name?Lmao. The people that cry about him ard absolutely rediculous. He fits perfectly with poor TPE, is a 40% 3pt shooter, and can defend. He'd bee a major upgrade over Connaughton.
There's a lot of talk about taking back Faried to get #14. I'd rather have Lee than Faried, and NY would likely swap them. So giving up #24 for #14 and Lee is a great move.
The fact that people cry about this dude is rediculous, and seems short-sighted.
Detective quality analysis.

A frontcourt who can't shot 3s is a big Problem in todays NBA, i doubt Nurkic and Randle can coexistIf we can find a way to land Julius Randle and Wayne Ellington, while bringing back Nurk, think we should be in the running for 50 wins and the second round again. Randle is gonna blow up on a good team and would at least provide some semblance of hope to break through our ceiling. A big man trio of Nurk-Randle-Collins has some potential.
Ellington was an elite shooter last year for really cheap-- something we can obviously use.
Would require quite a bit of maneuvering with the cap however, and not sure we have that ability.
I'm proud of this one..
Who says no?
POR Gets: #10, Kenneth Faried*, Jerryd Bayless, Small PHI Salaries
DEN Gets: #20, Cole Aldrich**,
PHI Gets: #14, Future POR/MIN 2nds, Cash
MIN Gets: #26, Al-Farouq Aminu,

**Aldrich $2M gaurunteed next year, Must waive by June 20th (Deal could be done a couple days before the draft)
Denver moves down 6 spots to shed Faried
Philadelphia moves down 4 spots and trades #26 to shed Bayless and other salary
Minnesota moves down 6 spots to add a 3-and-D PF.
Operation.
Acquire.
Luke.
Kennard.
I like Mikal Bridges better for this team. He's an ultra talented 3 and D guy and we need that more than another guy who needs the ball in his hands and doesn't shoot great from 3 (30.9% in Euro League).Mavs and Kings looking to trade down in the draft according to Kevin O'Connor because they want back to the Playoffs in 18-19. Damn this could be our Chance to trade for doncic View attachment 21064
In my mock draft I had Sacremento moving back and Kings fans were giving me a ton of crap... Lmao.Mavs and Kings looking to trade down in the draft according to Kevin O'Connor because they want back to the Playoffs in 18-19. Damn this could be our Chance to trade for doncic View attachment 21064
You know what would be more genius?
DEN Gets: #24
POR Gets: #14, Lee,
NYK Gets: Faried
POR Gets: Troy Daniels
PHX Gets: Future 2nd
POR Gets: #10, Bayless
PHI Gets: #14

Draft Mikal Bridges
Then wait and do this:
CLE Gets: Kenneth Faried, Troy Daniels, Jake Layman, Caleb Swanigan, 2019 1st, Future 2nds
POR Gets: Kevin Love,
Lillard / Baldwin /
McCollum / Lee / ?
Bridges / Harkless / Turner
Love / Collins
Nurkic / Davis
Damn, let me rework it.Didn't you just give Faried to NY? First, why does NY take him? Second, how does CLE get him?
@dviss1 Same idea, much simpler, and no mistakes:
DEN Gets: #24
POR Gets: #14, Faried
POR Gets: #10, Bayless
PHI Gets: #14
3rd Gets: Aminu
Draft Mikal Bridges, Sign Wayne Ellington to Tax-Payer MLE
Then wait and do this:

POR Gets: Kevin Love, Kyle Korver
Lillard / Baldwin / ?
McCollum / Ellington / Korver
Bridges / Harkless / Turner
Love / Collins
Nurkic / Davis / Papagiannis
I’d be pretty surprised if you could get Ellington for the MLE, he’s a shooter and teams love to overpay shooters these days. That's a deep team!
"Hey Neal Bones on line 1!"
Nice work Bones.
I hope no one gives him more than the mid level exception... 31 year old journeyman who has been on 7 teams, with career average of 8 ppg and 38% 3pt, which is good but not greatI’d be pretty surprised if you could get Ellington for the MLE, he’s a shooter and teams love to overpay shooters these days.
Maybe, he literally does nothing but shoot 3's.I hope no one gives him more than the mid level exception... 31 year old journeyman who has been on 7 teams, with career average of 8 ppg and 38% 3pt, which is good but not great
That's just awful for Cleveland. Why do they do that? If Lebron leaves, Love has a PO he is most certainly going to use to leave. So they trade expirings for expirings and a late 1st? Better to hang on to Love, and wait to see who gets desperate at the deadline than that deal.@dviss1 Same idea, much simpler, and no mistakes:

Toss in two firsts then. Swanigan has value too. And they save money, which, with their tax bill, equates to over $12M in savings. That's just awful for Cleveland. Why do they do that?
