Outgoing:

Blake (expiring)
Outlaw (expiring)
Webster
Rights to Claver
Pick

Incoming:

Joakim Noah
Luol Deng

Why does Chicago do this? Free's up mucho cap space for 2010 run at top free agents!

Why Portland does it:

Miller / Bayless / Mills
Roy / Rudy
Deng/Cunningham (Batum, next year)
LMA / Howard / Pendergraph
Noah (Oden - Pryzbilla, next year)

We all saw from last night, how the Blazers can play when a little pissed off.

Noah may be an addition that would bring some aggresiveness to a mostly passive team. (Brian Grant incarnate!)

No chance Chicago does that.

if KP pulled that off.. even Mixum would love him.

I like your thinking, but there is no way in hell this happens. I would LOVE to have Noah, though.

FUCK that.

Noah is way too much of a tool. I hate that guy.

The more I think about our team, and what we need (now, but more so for the future) is a banger-type aggressive player.

If LMA is going to be part of our future - along with Roy...and Oden will simply be "gravy" - then we need a strong PF/C player!

Noah is the best fit.

Our PG situation will work its way out. We have Miller for the next couple of years and we currently have two yougsters in Bayless and Mills - and I think one may emerge.

So how do we get Noah away from the Bulls? It would have to involve a couple of things; taking salary off their books, and giving them some expiring contracts (giving them some room for 2010 - Wade & Rose? ) a nice draft pick or two....and a player.

Chicago will not win a championship this year! So if our offer was intriguing enough, they might bite.

Deng's contract is a steep one. We could take him (and his contract) off their books;

Webster may be a nice addition to their future - he's a swing player, athletic, and a decent contract. Blake and Outlaw are expiring contracts (these two, plus the deletion of Deng, opens up lots of cap room for next year!).

So if my original thought (which was TradeChecker approved) of:

Blake, Outlaw & Webster (plus perks) for Noah and Deng is not strong enough - what if we were to keep Webster and send them Rudy?

Rudy, Miller, Outlaw + perks (also Trade-checker approved)
Noah + Deng

Dude, you're obviously forgetting that Noah is putting up monster numbers and is their only real big. I wouldn't be surprised if they value him as much as Rose.

Just stop.

^^This. What is it with some Blazers fans and the absolute borderline insane trade proposals. At least try to put yourself in the other team's shoes. :banghead:

argh what is it with some blazer fans that want me to put someone elses shoes on and risk a fungal contamination.

trade proposals are often silly, and often accepted.
