Antonio Cabello | Rank: 8

Cabello could be the most athletic prospect on the international market this year.

The teenager is known primarily as a catcher, but Cabello could also play second base and center field. He has a strong body and has been clocked at 6.45 seconds in the 60-yard dash. Cabello also hits in games and his makeup is considered off of the charts. He has built a reputation as a tough and hard-nosed competitor who hates to lose.

Fellow Venezuelan catcher prospect Daniel Flores might be a better defender, but Cabello has also earned praise as a good receiver with solid catching and throwing abilities. Cabello has been praised for his ability to block balls and a quick release that gives him a chance to throw out even the best of potential basestealers.

Cabello is still working on fine-tuning his overall offensive game, and like most prospects his age, he is working on his approach against secondary and offspeed pitches.

Cabello trains with Francisco Ortiz in Venezuela.
Raimfer Salinas | Rank: 6
Hometown: San Felix, Bolivar, Venezuela
Position: OFAge: 16 DOB: 12/31/2000Bats: R Throws: RHeight: 6'0'' Weight: 175 lb.

For now, Salinas might be best known for his bat, but the rest of his tools are not far behind. In fact, there's a belief the young outfielder has the potential to be a legitimate five-tool player and an impact player in the near future.

For starters, scouts like Salinas' body frame and its potential. He's also a sound defender and his plus arm is already an asset. Salinas is already a decent runner, whether it's on the basepaths or roaming the outfield, and there's a belief he will get faster.

At the plate, Salinas has shown an advanced approach and good bat speed. He's been able to hit to all fields while also showing some home run power. Salinas' overall tools package could land him in the middle of the lineup one day as a possible run producer. Scouts like his makeup and his overall confidence in his abilities.

Grabass, I mean Gracias Mel.....

Yankees officially announce the re-signing of CC Sabathia to a 1 Year Deal as per The Yes Network.

CC's Deal takes the Yankees Payroll to about 178 Million owner mandate is to stay under 197 as per Bronx Bombers Beat.

If the Yankees include Miguel Andujar in a Trade for Gerrit Cole then Pirates could include Josh Harrison as per Bronx Bombers Beat.

I think the frazier and adams part of the deal is done. Whats left is how good a player the 3rd player going back to the pirates is.

...If that's true, I'm not overwhelmed by this trade idea at all. I'm concerned about Cole's numbers declining the last 2 years and how well he might or might not transition to the AL...and as far as Harrison, he's a good player but not much of an upgrade over Headley if that's where he would play...a career .321 OBP is not inspiring to me.
...of course, on the flip side maybe the Yanx are looking at Harrison as a "plan B" at 2B or 3B if Torres does not pan out...or as a platoon player because he's considerably better vs LHed pitching. And though some of Cole's numbers are down he's an innings eater and is still striking out batters at the same rate.

...all in all, I give this trade possibility a sphincter factor of 6 out of 10 .

exactly, for 3 studs or prospective studs....

Imo, the Bucs wan't to much for a sub-par SP. Yeah he can eat innings, but can't seem to keep balls in the park. 31 Hr's last yr, imagine what he's going to give up to the short porch.

I can handle Frazier, Adams, but another, a 3rd, and Andujar at that. The Bucs wanted Torres, (but then who doesn't).... Imo, Trashman can do better....

Sphincter Factor 9 out of 10 for me...

10 of 10 for our GM...

Hell, just taking Cole off of the Buc's hands should count for something, tho' he's not making a lot of $$$. Imo, the Yanx would be giving them a break....

and Harrison, shit, hope to hell he's not signed or extended beyond his 2020 season....

this is enough to make anyone miss Headcase....!

Depending of course who the 2 minor league pitchers are I'd be ok with that. Rather have fuller than cole if have choice

Marlins have begun laying the Groundwork for possible Trades for Christian Yelich and J.T. Realmuto as per Jon Heyman..... Get on it Cashman.

Yankees are interested in Yu Darvish at a reasonable price as per Jon Heyman.

I like both players, especially Yellich...but I have no idea where they would play...lol

Just saw an article on CBS Sports that the Yankees trade efforts with Pittsburgh, Tampa, and Detroit have been rejected. A team can never have enough pitching but I'd say the Yankees are well off enough to start the season and look for deals going forward. When the Yankees acquired Stanton that should have sent a message to Ellsbury and possibly Gardner that their time now ain't long. Still have a while to go until the season gets under way, we'll se what happens.

Aaron Boone posted 2019 Yankees Lineup:

Clint Frazier -LF
Manny Machado -3RD
DiDi Gregorious -SS
Aaron Judge -RF
Giancarlo Stanton DH
Gary Sanchez -C
Greg Bird -1B
Gleyber Torres 2B
Estevan Florial -CF

Thoughts???

...Boone actually pencilled in Machado at 3B for 2019?...if he did, I'm not sure but I think he can get into some hot water by doing that.

...plus, that line up does not include Hicks...wtf?...Lil are you sure that list is legit?
