Indeed "a complicated deal" or: "El cambio se ve complicado"...
Well now wait a second my Husband is Mexican.

Ok guys sorry for no updates my Internet has been down since 10:00 am.

...the more I think about it, I don't think there's any way in hell that Ellsbury goes to Milwaukee.

^^^

I hadn't heard about this move/talks until now. After searching it out, the only talk I found was in early December. I'd love to see it happen, yet believe its been a dead talk/deal since then.

Yanx have 6 prospects in the Top 100, per Baseball America;

As for the Yanks, former No. 1 prospect Gleyber Torres slides down to No. 6 to begin 2018. Considering Torres missed most of last season following Tommy John surgery to his non-throwing elbow, he’s still the top shortstop on the board, regardless of the fact it looks like he’ll play a different position in the Bronx.

Coming in at No. 38 is 20-year-old Estevan Florial. Having yet to play a single game above High-A Tampa, I was a bit surprised by his elevated ranking. However, if you’ve been following the storyline of the Haitian born outfielder, then you’re well aware that scouts regard him as a five-tool star in the making.

If Florial can cut down on his strikeouts in 2018, it’s possible the uber-talented left-handed hitter cracks the Top 15 by season’s end.

Justus Sheffield is the Yanks’ first pitcher to appear in the rankings. At No. 41, Sheffield is fifth overall southpaw and seems to have jumped Clint Frazier as the crown jewel of 2016s Andrew Miller trade.

Slated to begin the season at Triple-A Scranton, Sheffield has increased the velocity on his fastball, as he was clocked at 98 mph during the AFL. This time last year, Sheffield was ranked at No. 91.

Miguel Andujar, whom many fans are rooting for the win the Opening Day third base job appears at No. 59. Known more for his electric stick than his developing glove, Andujar is the third overall third baseman in the group.

At 22, it appears Andujar will get a legit shot during Spring Training to prove to the masses that the Yanks don’t need to make a high-priced run at free-agent-to-be Manny Machado next winter.

The Yankees’ first right-hander to crack the Top 100 is Albert Abreu. Acquired in the Brian McCann to the Astros trade, Abreu is ranked at No. 77 and according to general manager Brian Cashman, at 21, is more advanced than Luis Severino was at the same age.

The final Yankee to make the list is Chance Adams. A consummate winner all across the minor leagues, Adams’ ranking at No. 81 leaves me a bit perplexed. It appears that the longer Adams stays down on the farm, the more questions are posed as to whether he’s better suited for the rotation or bullpen.

One would hope at 23, having already excelled at Triple-A, the Yankees would have a clear path cut for Adams.

good stuff 59, Thanks...

The Milwaukee Brewers have traded for outfielder Christian Yelich from the Marlins and then an hour or so later reaching an agreement with Lorenzo Cain on a five-year, $80 million contract.

The Brewers made a hell of a good run in '17, they'll be that much better in '18 with Yelich and Cain. Per the ESPN Article Miami got back some pretty good prospects so a good day for all.

Yelich and Cain are both very good players but Cain's contract pays him till he's 37 and CFers don't typically age well...but I'm sure they will get at least 3 solid years from him...always liked Yelich too.

...looks like Jeter is cutting payroll to the bone.

looks these days with plenty of unsigned FA's, trades et al, the odds of moving Dingleberry grow slimmer by the day...

Life is not always fair, if the Yankees can't deal Ellsbury, the next "oldie" on the team would be Gardner. I became a Gardner fan when I saw him get a GWRBI against Papelbon in '08. Since that time he has baffled me with some spectacular stuff, and made me curse him with some strange base running decisions. Unlike Ellsbury, Gardner has contributed to the team and given some lasting good memories. Anyone who watched the Yankees/Twins Playoff game heard Paul Molitor speak highly of Gardner and his abilities. Also, unlike Ellsbury, others teams would want him. Pretty sad situation when an albatross like Ellsbury will remain and someone else will have to go. Old Brian painted himself into a corner with that one.

...were you actually at that game?...the reason I ask is that me and the wife were there and I even have some video somewhere of that walkoff GWRBI. I remember it being July 4th weekend...we caught all 3 games. We were right behind the Yanx' dugout for Gardner's game winner....seemed like we could almost reach out and touch the players.

No, I was watching that game on TV. Plays like that can put a "halo" complex on a player that lasts. Gardner did graduate to better contributions at bat and in the field. Like that game winning bomb that set the Yankees on course to sweep the Cubs at Wrigley last season. Another one that stands out as a "halo' job was that catch made by Melky Cabrera off of Many Ramirez in the '06 season. Melky turned out to be a dirt bag but I've always remembered that catch. The last games I attended at Yankee Stadium was during the '85 Season during a Series with the Blue Jays. The Yankees won game one, but lost two & three which I attended. Baylor stunk that series, and big Dave left 11 runners stranded in that 4 game series. Would like to attend a game at the current unit but that would be to me a considerable sum all things considered.

...from what I remember from that Gardner walk off, the score was tied with runners on and Garner hit a little 5 hopper right over 2B that snuck through for the game winner.

Thanks to You tube game video though somewhat distorted that's about the way it happened. Cabrera was on 3rd which probably helped out as well.

Orioles may have some interest in Jacoby Ellsbury as per Jon Heyman.

Just read an article on the possibility of that deal and more likely than not Ellsbury will not be an Oriole unless the Yankees pay more than half his salary. In addition Ellsbury has experienced diminishing stats in his game over the last three seasons. When you have a center fielder like Adam Jones you sure don't need Ellsbury, who could not carry Jones Jockstrap. I understand some Oriole Player ditched the Team Fan Fest and that morale is low because of strained player/management relations. So it looks like the Yankees won't be able to dump Ellsbury while Baltimore will be a poor competitor in '18.

Brewers reportedly had recent contact with Rays Pitcher Chris Archer as per MLBTradeRumors.Com.

Yankees have discussed signing Free Agent Mike Moustakas as per Bronx Bombers Beat.

with all the minor lg signings, it damn near seems like the illustrious GM can't figure out how to put the pieces together.

wonder as well just how much interests anyone really has in Jacoby, for how little $$, and/or how many blue chip prospects in return. Wonder if there's any stench of desperation in t/front office, i.e. moving our overpriced UT OF'r. I'd hold Trashman accountable to get Dingleberry off the roster for a halfway decent SP, without being taken to the cleaners...

Todd Frazier traded to the Mets as per MLBTradeRumors.com.
