First of all, I have no hatred for Kidd..

BUT, if this will improve our chances to get to the playoffs and have a good chance at it then, go...

I feel dat two teams are looking for a good starting point. Two Western Teams. Portland and Denver.

Denver will trade nene & andre miller for kidd and perhaps a forward like ron mercer..We will have a pg, a pure point and a c-f dat's above average and both have years to go..Denver, with martin and kidd's reunion, will be one of d solid contenders in the west.

or

Portland will trade stoudamire and shareef or ratliff..This will be like a poorman's version of the above trade. Both are still in prime but will only have a good 5-7 years at best ahead. Portland will have a point that can pass to Miles and Randolph. We will have a pure point and a consistent inside player or shotblocker..The key word here is "consistent"..if ratliff be d one involved, this will be accepted..

If you ask me, d denver trade wud be b more bneficial not just now but also years to come..D only real problem is Kidd's salary w/c not everyteam can hadle..

Also, the clippers might also be considering Wilcox/Rebraca and Livingstone/PG..But i dont think they will go this extent..
 
I do not think that it will improve our chances if we trade Kidd espcially for the guys that you mentioned above. Kidd brings a leadership that does not exist too often in players. I think that the best way that the Nets can get better is if they upgrade their front court through free agency and the draft. Trading Kidd is not an option, unless it is for a really good player(s). Besides, although some teams might be in need of a good PG, most of them would not be interested in Kidd due to his big contract.
 
i dont think there will be a trade for kidd. the nets dont want to give him away but then again i never thought the nets would trade martin or that carter would be a net,so anything is possible
 
The Net Captain has pass his prime. He is no longer as quick and explosive as he use to be. Trading Kidd is probably what will help the team most right now and help them make a run for the weak Atlantic Division. Kidd does have a huge contract, 4yrs left in a 6yr- 100mill contract. It is hard to see that any team still wants him, but a trade which involves him for a Andre Miller and Nene (two young and potential future all-stars) is a great trade. This would add depth to the backcourt and the frontcourt and the Nets can become young again and run for another shot at the title.

TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to New Jersey and Denver being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New Jersey and Denver had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I think this will be good trade for both sides...Jersey gets a c-pf in nene (it appears as if he is unhappy in Denver), a very pure point in Miller (someone who will willingly give the ball to VC and RJ),a deep bench with Tskitishvili and deeper when Voshon returns.

Denver will receive one of the best in Kidd (especially with his outside shots) and a very potent Krystic..

Both will benefit in this. Denver, esp. when Kidd goes back to 100%. The nets wont loose since they get an athletic good rebounding c-pf in Nene (very underrated) and a passing point in Miller. D only prob i c is miller's lack of outside shooting. this is easily compensated with VC and RJ's perimeter play.

Nuggets will not do that trade... they are giving up 2 much... but i wished they wudve becuz we would have a heck of a team in nj
 
Jason Kidd's stock isn't very trade favorable at the moment, New Jersey should wait a week or so prior to the trade deadline and see what his value on the market is at that time. Perhaps another month will allow Kidd to get back into form and hopefully begin posting his normal triple-double type numbers once again. I don't know what team would take currently take Kidd given his contract and his lack of production, New Jersey would simply receive coal in return...
 
Nuggets would be deadly for the first 2 years or so, then the contracts will haunt them. Melo will no doubt ask for Max money. The Nuggets can't have 3 max money players in Kidd, K-Mart and Melo.
 
The Lakers are still you're best option for a Kidd trade and they need another marquee player to replace Shaq. Walton, Grant(he is a free agent next year) and Medvedenko plus draft choices.
 
**** the Lakers... BUT I wanna see Kidd on another team. The Mavs sounded good to me.
 
i dont think these are type good trades for kidd... the best trade so far is miller and nene for kidd
