Obviously 2025 isn't available to trade because they didn't pick in this draft... we did for Washington. Every FRP 2026 and on is available though.
That's not how the Steipen restriction works, after the draft it can be traded. The restriction only looks 7 years forward - not backwards.

GS has 2030 pick 21-30 going to Washington which is pretty irrelevant so they effectively have all their picks.

What the fuck was Richman talking about in his podcast. A 2% chance we cut Jabari Walker? A world where Jabari doesn't make the team? That would be idiotic.
Walker is my much worse than that forward we cut last year forgot his name that went to the Nets. Walker shot a career high 29% 3pt last year. With Deni rebounding, Toumani, he's just not needed at all. I'd plan to cut him but there's no reason to do it prior to late October 15 man limit.

Because there is no reason to keep him.

I don’t want Chauncey to have any excuses to play vets over Clingan.
Clingan is 20, he can ride the bench until he earns minutes.

If we cant trade Timelord for an asset we should keep him. Great player to watch, great defender, doesn't need big minutes, inexpensive contract.

I don't understand these posters terrified of our team not having minutes, did you watch the past 3 years where we had a dozen + Gleague scrubs starting?

I think once the 2024 pick conveyed, they can trade the 2025, it just future picks that needs a 2 year buffer

Even though the '30 pick is protected, it still MIGHT convey. Because of this, GSW can't trade their '29 or '31 picks.

What would be ironic if Paul ended up on the Blazers is we could have had him but we promised Martell Webster instead of taking someone who was considered one of the best PG prospects to ever come out -- that worked out well for the Blazers -- LOL

He gets paid nothing and has shown more than Kris Murray. He is young and can continue to improve. He has some really good games last year.

Earn minutes?

We are a tanking team.

A rebuilding team.

The young dudes should be playing AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

And you’re talking to the wrong dude.

I don’t mind having a bunch of scrubs starting IF ITS FROM DAY 1.

They were trying to win games then started to tank halfway thru the season. If we tanked from day 1, our draft picks are probably better.

And it’s not about minutes. It’s the fact Chauncey is gonna play RW over Clingan to win games that don’t matter.

I don't know what Grant's demand is now. We got him for a 1st round pick, so if we can dish him off for a 1st it would be a wash. I think that's the reason Cronin retained him.

Philly could just eat his contract and give us a 1st in exchange. Make it non protected, since it'll probably be a low pick anyway, but there's always a chance...

Correct, however there are very easy ways for any trade partners to work around that tiny restriction and get tons of draft equity.

6 years is pretty quick for the average NBA team to retool like that.
My reply wasn't about average teams, it was to a post saying a big glamour market like the Lakers can always retool immediately.

How about "glamour market" OKC that did it after 2 big losing seasons?

I'd be all for Murray and Walker competing for the last spot, loser gets kicked off the island.

Honestly I'd consider dropping both.

Saw an interesting idea after Dejonte trade to NO

NO Ayton
ORL CJ Huerter (Still can sign free agent such as Klay)
Kings Grant
Blazers Barnes Isaac Ingles 3 FRP (one from each above team) 17 million salary savings

Why?
He's a better team player than Simons. I think if we trade Simons, Huerter would be a great fit
Huerter was solid in 22-23, but regressed last year. If he were able to return to the prior year's percentages, I'd agree with you completely.

Unless those are OTHER teams' FRPs, they're going to be in the 20s. That's depressing enough to be plausible. Every team comes out of it feeling slightly cheated. The trouble is, the Pels are shopping Ingram, not CJ. This seems more likely:

why the heck did Marang's 1080 radio trade idea podcast, put Shaedon's image on their intro photo ??

... they must be getting desperate for clickbait

Heres another idea, lets get Dame his superfriend in Grant. Bucks would be turning into Blazer East.

Blazers could further flip Middleton and maybe Lopez. Bucks get the depth and youth they need. Blazers collect more of the Bucks draft equity and would be the #1 trade option if Milwaukee ever looks at shopping Giannis.

It was a pick in 2025, 2026, 2027

Maybe if all teams have some hesitancy its actually closer to a fair balanced deal.

Indy was the team that signed Ayton to his current contract - you'd think 24 months later they would still have interest?

Jarace Walker seems like a waste there when they have Siakam and Mathurin as forwards. Turner could hold down the center spot for us without clogging the cap so much, Walker could pair with Deni starting in the frontcourt, and we'd have more flexibility to send out Grant for picks.

Can Advija play the three and have Walker be the 4? They probably wouldn't do that to start the season.

Ship out all our vets!

We get Turner and Walker to start with Black as a third guard, filler and four FRP.
