If you wanna compete with BOS, NY, and PHI, somebody has to be very interested in Grant, and perhaps Ant too. Lakers would be swept by the top East teams. AD and LBJ will never be as healthy as last year and they weren't even close to contending. GSW? getthefuckouttahere. Not even close. Playin team.

Are you asking because you want to use 2023-24 salaries to make the trade work? If that's not the case then it doesn't matter. Trades are being announced right now that won't complete until the new league year, just take our Avdija trade for example.
When does the new league year start?

I don't think the Lakers have much of a choice now that Klay is with the Mavs. They either pony up for Jerami or tell LeBron they aren't going to be seriously in contention.

Now realistically who are the only suitors for Grant at least at this time my guess is :

Clippers -- BUT have ZERO to trade so scratch them off
Lakers -- however DeMarr is now the one to watch on this front that would be a wrench in this place
Warriors ? -- They lost Klay and could use another scorer but what do they have -- ( have not looked yet )
Rockets ? -- They seem to be a semi reasonable landing spot too but again need to see what they have to trade

I think this is about it so someone correct me if I am missing a spot ??

You did great. I do think the Lakers and Warriors are most likely to try and get Jerami to help them win more now.

I think the truth is in a Laker / Blazer deal I am not sure either side has a advantage cause the landing spots for Grant have kind of dried up even if the Lakers need Grant. If there is an advantage it's only a slight one by the Blazers so now it comes down to what is needed for the trade to be good for the Blazers and even the Lakers to a degree. I am going to lay out a trade that I think is fair for BOTH sides and here it is ...

Blazers Trade :
- Jerami Grant
- Kris Murray

Lakers Trade :
- Rui Hachimura
- Gabe Vincent
- Dalton Knecht
- Future 1st 29" ( top 3 protected )

I think this deal is fair for both sides and shows a little give and take and only thing I might adjust to throw the Lakers a future 2nd but I think both sides win

LAL is running out of options FAST. LBJ is taking the max, not shocking. He was trying to look like a good guy saying he would take a paycut. A sensible option for them is Grant. I sure wish they would take Ant too...

I like DFS for LA--he won't cost nearly as much, and BKN might be the only team that'd take back DLo at this point.

Only thing I would say is that the Lakers might want to make that '29 pick unprotected so that they could use the '31 pick in a future trade if needed.

I forgot about that I remember hearing something about that in another rumored / trade idea the other day slipped my mind

Something along these lines is good, but I don't think we'd get both Dalton and a 1st. They seem to really love Dalton.

Our team 'insiders' sure have been quiet with any rumors.
Has Joe shut down any of the leaks?

I feel like the Lakers deal won't happen for us. Trader Joe's usually really quiet until it gets announced.

Hard to keep this one quite.
