Gibson just isn't very good and he's 30. I don't see anyone trading anything remotely close to valuable for him

I'd like Taj off our bench alongside Leonard, I think they'd fit really good together there. I wouldn't move Batum for him though. So Taj Gibson is reportedly "very angry" about Thibs firing. They'll have no cap space this summer and they need to upgrade at SF. I think they'd be extremely interested in Batum, except Taj doesn't fit our needs. We could work out a 3 team deal where Taj goes somewhere, that team sends us a package, and we send the Bulls Batum
I envision their roles swapped offense to defense. Leonard plays the 4 on offense outside, Taj, who's a good offensive rebounder, lurks around down low for putbacks. On defense, they can swap, but generally, Leonard would play on bigger post up threats, Taj on the more stretch bigs. You want Leonard at the 4. They're interest in Batum would be so high IMO... They'd trade Gibson and decent filler. I'd try to work a 3 team trade though sending taj somewhere else
I think Rolo, Freeland, Kaman and Leonard make up for those guys alley oop points at the freethrow line and it's not even close.nothing you said made any sense. I don't know how to respond. I'm talking about throwing a lob on a pick n roll. Have you ever seen Dwight Howard or Jordan on a pick n roll and how a gaurd will throw the ball up and they'll go get it? It's a 99% shot. And they get those 2 or 3 times a game. I'll take that over three 40% Robin Lopez jumpers. And I never saw an opposing big respect Rolos jumper over the driving guard. Please find me a clip where that happens once. I guess you didn't understand we were talking strictly pick n rolls here
I've seen Howard and Jordan brick those alley oops and brick the freethrows that come with the foul...the alley oop is not a major factor if you can't make free throws and it's not a gimmie play by any stretch. You might be exaggerating the effective results of slam dunkers. I prefer bigs who can get to the line and make the freebies over highlight players anydaycreate the passing option? its not that hard to roll towards the hoop. An athletic big creates more of a passing option because you can throw it in a bigger window and he'll still go get it.
I'd still take a dunk attempt over our center shooting jumpers any day haha. Out of those 4 only Rolo made 1 free throw a game. So having a bigger threat on offense and a guy that makes it harder to defend the pick n roll is negated by Rolo's and Kaman's free throws???I think Rolo, Freeland, Kaman and Leonard make up for those guys alley oop points at the freethrow line and it's not even close.

I guess somebody must like the hack a Howard/Jordan playoff 4th qtrs where nobody else touches the ball...I'm not one of them. Gasol is the best center in the league and he's not a highlight dunker off the alley oop and he makes free throws. Now that's a guy I'd take. Tim Duncan is another. You and I have different ideas about what makes for great basketball. The slam dunk contest sucks as well.I'd still take a dunk attempt over our center shooting jumpers any day haha. Dude... How about mentioning who we would get for Batum? Just shipping him is stupid IMHO. ESPECIALLY for a bench player...

Yeah, you would need to get at least Tony Snell back too and hope he could develop into a starting SF like next year.
idk who we'd get. We wouldn't get Taj though. It' be a trade centered around trading Nic to Chicago, Taj to a random team and we chose what we recieve from bothDude... How about mentioning who we would get for Batum? Just shipping him is stupid IMHO. ESPECIALLY for a bench player...
Its not about dunking on people, it's about having a wide range of motion above the rim to make it easier on the ball handler on the pick n roll, and harder on the defense. With Rolo if they cut off the pocket pass, then the whole pick n roll is ineffective. All you guys talking about Lopez and getting an athletic big to catch alley oops can't see the forest for the trees:
WHAMS on the 2nd team all defense center. Lest we forget the dunk on Andre Drummond? Fropez dunks when he needs to. You cats saying you want a center who dunks more but cannot hit a shot outside of 5 feet are trippin'...
Watch the Dunk on Asik @ :57. You know... they guy everyone in here was clamoring for INSTEAD of Fropez...

Yup, the basement of the deal would have to be Taj+Snell or McBuckets+22.Yeah, you would need to get at least Tony Snell back too and hope he could develop into a starting SF like next year.
I think we could get at least 3 of those 4.Yup, the basement of the deal would have to be Taj+Snell or McBuckets+22.
That's what I meant, the or was to differentiate Snell and Dougie.I think we could get at least 3 of those 4.
oh gotcha. I wold think we could flip those guys for something good. It'd just have to be better deal then anything we could get by trading Batum straight upThat's what I meant, the or was to differentiate Snell and Dougie.
I wonder if a three way would be possible to do a "super deal"oh gotcha. I wold think we could flip those guys for something good. It'd just have to be better deal then anything we could get by trading Batum straight up
I'd like that trade if Noah's healthy. Fans on the Bulls board have said he has no cartilage left in his knees, which after BRoy I don't want to deal with againI wonder if a three way would be possible to do a "super deal"
Blazers
In: Joakim Noah, Doug McDermott
Out: Nic Batum
Bulls
In: Nic Batum, Nikola Pekovic, #36
Out:Joakim Noah, Doug McDermott, Taj Gibson
Wolves
In: Taj Gibson
Out: Nikola Pekovic, #36
The good thing about Noah is he is expiring. One year trial run to see if he still has it.I'd like that trade if Noah's healthy. Fans on the Bulls board have said he has no cartilage left in his knees, which after BRoy I don't want to deal with again
I'll come up with my own supertrade soon haha
If Noah dons the Scarlet and Black, I'll actively root against them until he's gone.I wonder if a three way would be possible to do a "super deal"

Wook you hate everyone so..If Noah dons the Scarlet and Black, I'll actively root against them until he's gone.
Unless they play the L*kers or the Cavs.
Nope. While I'm not a fan of a large number of players, there are only a handful who I dislike strongly enough to not only withdraw my support for, but also to actively root against the Blazers.Wook you hate everyone so..
