Saw the tweets about this draft going on, and I was wondering when this thread would be bumped.

Darren Rovell is live tweeting this draft!

In true Trail Blazers fashion, Blazers 5 gaming takes a center with their top pick. A relative unknown and a combine wonder. OneWildWalnut--welcome to Portland...I guess...

Holy shit! Turtle is the NY general manager!

Is this drafting the players? Or drafting the players?

The players of course. No idea what players the players play with.

From what I understand, the teams will consist of all the same generic NBA2K players, same attributes/skill ratings. For example every team will have a PG with a height of 6'1'', speed of 95, shooting of 85, etc etc.

I was discussing this with a coworker, and he and I assumed that would be the case. IMO, it's the only way it makes sense.

With their second round pick, Blazers take Bay-Area-Based PG "MamaImDatMan" (Nidal Nasser). Not necessarily the best PG on the board, but one of the highest scoring. Hard to miss the Dame similarity here.

Based on the commentary, seems like the Kings are having a pretty good draft so far. Got arguably a top-2 talent at #4, and then got a first-round-level C and PG with their second and third round picks.

Blazers third round pick coming up in about 5 minutes.

3 picks, 3 Californians. Can't be a coincidence.

Looking at what positions they've filled so far (C, PG, PF) and who's remaining, Blazers probably are hoping a couple of these west coast wings last another 15-20 spots. There are a couple from California, and a couple from Washington as well.

Ha--pick #2 is "DatMan", and pick #3 is "DatBoy". Let's just hope dey can win "DatTitle".

Lavish Phenom is a SF out of Brooklyn. During his draft interview, he basically said that the only reason he dropped to the 4th round is because he's a relative unknown, but he averaged 9 rpg from SF spot for a reason--because he's all about effort--and the other teams who passed on him are going to regret it.

Blazers will be forced to pick a SG with their fifth pick, but 4 other teams will be picking a SG before Portland can.

Here's the post-draft interview for Portland's 4th round pick.

All right--Blazers 5th round pick coming up in about 5 minutes. There are 6 SG's on the board, so it'll be one of these guys. Knowing absolutely nothing about any of them, I'm guessing ColeWorld2K

Shoulda just stuck with my early all-California assumption, 'cause that's exactly what the Blazers did. Our 5th round pick is GRANT MONSTER, who apparently is a 57% 3P shooter.

Analyst is pretty pleased with our squad, saying that rather than being dependent on a single "superstar", Blazers appear to have a very good, very balanced team.
